Alas, even after dispatching all of Fia's Champions, the waygate wouldn't activate. It, too, demanded that I produce more Great Runes. As I understood it, there was only one more within my grasp, but he was my current employer. Surely, there had to be some other way.

That's when I remembered that I had been to Leyndell before. In the Weeping Peninsula, I'd opened a chest that took me there, where I'd fought a golem for the contents of a treasure chest. On the other side was an elevator shaft, but the lever to call it up wouldn't budge. In the time sense, I'd acquired so many other tools, so perhaps it wouldn't be as impassible as it seemed.

Among them was the Ruptured Crystal Tear, something that was otherwise completely useless to me. A concoction for blowing myself up? What a farce! Still, when I tested it out, I found that it blew me "up" in the most literal way possible. Perhaps it could "cushion" the fall to the bottom of the elevator shaft? After much testing, I finally made my attempt.
