Nothing about this is "stolen valor"... they are grasping for straws. In my opinion, even if he said he didn't want to go.... there is nothing wrong with that. He was in a high ranking position and exceeded his contract. Instead he went to school, served his community and then ran for office and fought there.

Letting the attack scare you away from showcasing his service is exactly what they hope for. He served 25 yrs and wanted to run for congress. Was he supposed to wait until he served 31 years

But vilifying and shaming someone who served in the military as though they made wrong choices about their time of exiting, while bowing to people who never served a second.....is awful.....................At least use another career choice, not the military service in which everyone who serves in any site of the world is making sacrifices for their country........JD Vance lacks empathy and is inhumane.
