Spartan IV: Super soldier time! ODST: We die in the dark, so humanity may live in the light
  • @ShyGuy2020
IV's definitely pushed ODSTs out of the light. They even took Buck, the poster boy of ODSTs, and made him into a spartan.

From a veteran's point of view, the Spartan 4 program is the dream. After doing all the things and the mileage...its a second chance to be truly operational again.

ODST was a breath of fresh air to the franchise that made me realize how truly dangerous the universe is if you aren't a super human.
  • @Stenbeck-lu2rw
"So you don't think we're capable of being Spartans." "Perhaps some of you are closer than others."
  • The only good spartan 4 in my eyes is my boy buck, he will always be odst in my heart
  • @LovleyLemonade
I'd say it's the most realistic and practical thing to do. If the process to become a Spartan becomes cheaper and easier with no need for kids, it would only be natural for the UNSC to just upgrade their top of the line soldiers. ODSTs will always be remembered as the best humanity had to offer. (Without traumatizing children)
  • It seems people forget that even the run of the mill marines in halo have augmentations, the Spartan program just takes them to a whole other level

This is why I loved ODST so much. You weren't running around as this big super soldier. You were just a human trying to survive.
  • @hyperplayin3
The fact that people used Sodaz's animations in lore videos makes me happy because they're so good
  • @Tetsujinhanmaa
That Halo:ODST commercial went HARD! I remember the hype back then.
  • @Indoor_Carrot
It only makes sense that UNSC would perfect the process to allow more marines / ODST to be "upgraded"
  • @starlightwarden
People often forget that a majority of Spartan IVs were ODST beforehand. If anything, they took all that they learned as a ODST fighting the Covenant and became the closest thing that you will ever get to a Spartan II and Spartan III. Spartan IV Augmentations are cheaper and nearly 100% successful so it makes sense that they'd be the natural progression for a soldier. People also should acknowledge that Spartans are still chosen and not everyone can become a Spartan, the UNSC picks the best of the best out of the best.

Spartan lv’s make sense in an evolution sense for humanity as after winning a war you think they would progress themselves instead of staying the same, best way they can handle this is everyone becomes a spartan Iv in the sense of augmentations but still have the different types of spartan Iv types like marine, odst and actual spartan.
  • @kuda9464
The fact that you can turn ODSTs into SIVs they could still have Spartan ODSTs.
  • @melissa7611
ODST: Sir, we die on the battlefield with honor and pride, or die trying reaching the battlefield Sarge Johnson: now marines, is time to jump to hell with feet first
  • @HaloVenom
ODST: “sell out” Spartan IV: “what?” ODST: “S E L L O U T” Edit: wow thanks for all the likes lol
  • @AbyssalSoda
I feel Spartan IVs are the natural progression of how the program would go, as lowering the barrier to entry and making people more lethal would be beneficial to humanities continued survival
  • @guerrerowarrior1
I think you’re 100 percent correct! Even Halsey herself said the Spartans 4’s were nowhere near the respect and legend of her Spartan 2’s.
