Everlasting snow blower tyre?

Published 2017-12-14
Being fed up with fixing my snow blower tires every few months, this time I filled the flat tyre with steel reinforced concrete.

Update 2022: I filled the other tyre with concrete too. The only drawback with the concrete filled tyres I've noticed, is that wet snow tends to get stuck in them. I put flat steel bars on top of both tyres to peel off the snow.

I've also converted the snow blower electric, since the gas motor broke. There's a 5.5kW 3-phase motor now and I have a heck of a long extension cord. I find the conversion good: no more filling up the gas tank, yanking the starter rope or changing oil. You have to be careful with the extension cord and move it away when needed, of course, but I've gotten used to it now.
