  • Listen, as someone who deals with high humidity and heat most of the year (north Carolina aka south United States) any extreme heat you are not used to is BRUTAL. Like it’s irrelevant if “my heat is worse” because I’m used to it. This is my normal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with such extremes. And man. Heat you can’t escape. You can only take off so many clothes and when you’re still hot it’s unbearable. I hope it cools down soon
  • @heyitsdee8092
So refreshing to hear the temperature in celsius😂😂❤
  • @oumaimasbooks
watching this while it's 35 degrees and the humidity is high. I'm tired of summer already😅
  • @Lion_Tess
I'm glad you are liking the Neapolitan series. It has become insanely famous here in Italy. I'm happy to know that is has been getting recognition abroad too ❤️
  • @kimlake8838
Uh oh time for Ice Planet Barbarians two to get you outta the 5-star book haze 🤣

I am currently reading McMaster's Guide to Homicide and it's so good. I love that while the characters take the subject serious the book itself doesn't. It knows what it is.
  • I loved all the books in the Neapolitan series, and after the last one, I got her short book “ the lost daughter “ I kept it and didn’t read it till later because I love those books😃😃 it was really good too. I’m like you, by the last book Lenu was not a favorite of mine, but when you think about it she’s the one that was able to get herself out of poverty somehow . They are such complex characters and you love them and hate them at the same time

    45C is like 113F!!! That's craaaaazy hot! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I'm dying when it's 90F (32C).

So glad to see you enjoying those two books ! I've read and really enjoyed the Tainted Cup earlier this year and I am not surprised you liked it too ! I do want to start My Brilliant Friend but I want to challenge myself to read it in Italian and I am not at the right level yet. Having L'amica geniale staring at me from my TBR shelf keeps me motivated to learn so there is that ! 🤞🤞 For more great books to come for you this summer !
  • @devlyn873
The Tainted Cup is my first book I've read by that author and I ended up enjoying it so much I bought a physical copy of it (it was a library/libby read for me too).
  • @cpjohnson1887
I freaking love that shirt girl. We are in a heat wave here in the South of US. I've been avoiding the outdoors.
  • @becklebooks
Thank you for uploading while I am waiting at the airport. 😂🎉 Also you’re right about City of Blades, I wasn’t emotionally invested either and I DNF’d it. I gave book one a 5-stars. 😢 Ooooo I am really hoping that I also enjoy The Tainted Cup!
  • I just finished The Tainted Cup and I loved it so much!! The Unmaking of June Farrow was the first book I read this year and I really enjoyed it and how twisty it was. 😊
  • @freckledklutz
I am sitting here where it's 17 degrees celsius I am in BC and omg I feel for you I hope it has cooled down! And two 5 stars damn I think you need some cheesy romance or something like a good manga or middle grade to get you through the depression and the feels after that! I just finished two books and both were good as well and the book hangover is real!
  • @Kiki-oo3bw
i finished the neapolitan novels earlier in the year and felt the exact same!! it was pure perfection. also, if you do another of these vlogs, i think you'd really love betty by tiffany mcdaniel <3
  • @Veridissima
I love you talking about My Brilliant Friend because that whole series is huge where I live (Portugal), and I’m only missing the last one and you’ve made me even more excited!!! I love them both so much, but they’re also so awful and questioning what they do!!! But I also wanted to recommend to you a very short book called, in English, Sweet Days of Discipline by Fleur Jaeggy!!! It has a similar dynamic to Lenu and Lila, and it has the historical background, of being post war Europe Really appreciate your videos and you sharing your thoughts!!
