I must have watched this about 50 times on the original game trailers website. And I love this announcer.

Wow I used to get lost in GT retrospectives in my late teens and early twenties. This publication put out stellar work
  • This instantly takes me back to high school on a Friday night in 2008 on my computer getting lost in these retrospectives. Pure nostalgia
  • That finale... This is the greatest retrospective ever made I wish i could find it in better quality Thank you, Screwattack for this beautiful gem Thank you Chris for uploading it!

I remember watching this as a 12 year old boy, having just bought my Wii and my first Zelda game ever back in 2006. Takes me back.
  • Ahhh I used to watch this basically on loop when I first got into the Zelda series in 2007. So nostalgic for me. Recently picked up a Switch and waiting for BotW to come and ride out quarantine.
  • Gametrailers may be gone, but these guys are still around on YouTube under the moniker Easy Allies. Go give them some love eh

I want an updated version of this. Its crazy to think that the last game released when this came out was Minish cap. The series has evolved so much since then.

Ah, the theorizing of timelines before there was an official one. Those were the days... 😉
  • @samuraisoul2011
as long as there is a triforce, there will be a Zelda. as long as there is a prosperous Kingdom, there will be an evil trying to destroy it as long as there is an opressive force reigning hyrule, there will be a boy in a green tunic, silver shield and magic blade to stand against them. this part always bring tears to my eyes

Zelda Conspiracy Theorists, as they became known, actually speculated as to the order of the Zelda games for years. The most commonly accepted belief was that there HAD to be 2 timelines, since some games couldn't be identified with a place in the timeline. Nintendo threw them a curve ball, when they revealed there were actually 3 timelines, all caused by the events of OOT. 🖖

Thanks for uploading all of these! I was so worried I would lose them...
  • @Casanuda
Happy 36th Zelda. I've been playing these games for over 30 years and never has a year gone by I didn't re-complete at least one of them. Zelda 2 is still my favorite today!
  • @FoodLiquorCool
Thanks for uploading these, so much better as one concentrated video.
  • I love these little documentaries. These make me make my game, with a sense, that someday I will finish it, and become successful! Being a indie developer is hard. Seeing these old games, I wonder how hard it was to make games back then!!
  • Currently Christmas of 2022, and I find this old gem. It’s funny to see how far Video creators have come. And It’s also just cute to watch because how far Zelda has come since this video was created. Ahh memories.
