HONG KONG - Dim Sum is a food or meal you have to eat in Hong Kong, and today weâre uncovering some of the best places to eat dim sum from hole in the wall to fine dining!
Huge thank you to Virginia for helping me arrange this Hong Kong food tour. Check out her videos @hongkongfoodtours and her food tours: humidwithachanceoffishballs.com/
1. Sam Hui Yaat (maps.app.goo.gl/51xaCAgjZuSiMShN8) - This small neighborhood dim sum restaurant is a local popular spot and itâs a place I always eat at when Iâm in Hong Kong. They have all the classics, and you can sit and enjoy some great tea as well. Prices here range from about $2 - $4 USD per basket, so you can easily have a dim sum breakfast for under $10 USD.
2. Luk On Kui (maps.app.goo.gl/oWSoMA72Vh6FFT3f6) - Previously there was a teahouse in Hong Kong called Lin Heung Kui, which closed down (but might re-open?). It was legendary and one of the quintessential Hong Kong food experiences - loud, confusing, delicious, and never a dull moment. Luk On Kui is almost the same, and might even be run by the same people? Anyway, itâs a perfect place to eat local dim sum in Hong Kong. Our total price came to 332 HKD ($42.44 USD), so about 10 - 20 USD per person, and so it ranks in the middle in terms of price.
3. Lung King Heen (maps.app.goo.gl/J4QbNTSVtDKuHSNK7) - Lung King Heen is a 2 Michelin Star restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong lead by Executive Chef, Chef Chan Yan Tak. They are famous for a number of things, especially their renowned high end dim sum and their whole abalone puff, which is amazing. Itâs definitely high end, but the quality and atmosphere is spectacular. Price per person - 1,463 HKD ($187 USD).
Hope this gives you some ideas where to eat the best dim sum when youâre in Hong Kong!

I loved the look on Virginia's face every time he reached for the chili oil. Her giggle, too, right after she said it was hot, he dips in and scoops a bunch out.đ

Mark is my favorite food blogger hands down. Such a humble man. I love the fact that when he uses a tour guide in a city, the guide actually sits down with him and his family to eat. Iâve seen Virginia on other channels where the blogger eats by themselves while she stands off to the side. Love you Mark, keep up the great work!

Virginia is everything!!! I'm so glad she got to indulge! I feel like she'd be such a great friend to have. 100000% Tell Sonny to stop bullying her. LOL.

The first time I had Dim Sum was years ago at the Barona Casino Buffet it was so delicious I tried 2 on my first round then ended up eating close to 10 of em lol. I was hooked every since then, I even had Bao pork dumplings which is a amazing Asian treat you can enjoy with tea or Boba beverage. That shrimp had my stomach roaring to the point I was heating up my leftover Panda Express đ. Virginia is the best food tour guide ever!! Love her expertise!! Mark definitely gets my appetite charged up every single time Haha. If you know you know, right?! Such amazing tasty dumplings on this episode especially the last review displaying fine dining versions that had my mouth wateryđ€€.
