Imma go no. I'm betting it's a coincidence. While he was a fan of Zelda and familiar with its music, we're not talking about a classic Nintendo masterpiece here. We're talking the Phillips "YouTube poop-bad" CDi. It crashed and burned like nobody's business. Do they sound similar? Sure. Could it be taken from it? Not impossible. But I intimately know HP game soundtracks by heart, and I did not immediately think of that track. If anything, it's more likely Soule took musical ideas from famous JRPG greats, not the likes of these.

too vague, the first track uses that 6th leap as a subversion, while hp's song its teh main motif. so thats different enough imo
