Reporters Walk Out as the IBA Confirms Projected Gold Medalists in Women’s Boxing Are Male

The IBA conference was labeled a shambles as many journalists criticized the proceedings. Many seemed offended by the IBA confirming that Imane Khelif and Lin Yu Ting failed the gender eligibility test to compete at the World Championships 2023. The results revealed that the two boxers were male. Two tests were done and signed by the boxers and were not contested. But journalists from the BBC and Reuters reportedly walked out and Reuters also cut their live feed. It appears some are offended by biology and do not trust the science after all.

    Just in general, it's strange that juicing is forbidden in sports but trans people have to take all sorts of chemicals daily and this is hardly discussed in the media.

    If these two men think the IBA done them dirty, they can go get legit chromosome tests again and show the results. The very fact that they won't do this tells me that these two men are running a scam.

    Why should I believe the IOC when they say Khelif is female when they only look at passports to determine athletes’ sex? All this confusion could be resolved if the IOC just did their own blood test. This reeks of a cover up. I’m sorry if Khelif suffers from a DSD (and even that isn’t known for sure) but we segregate men’s and women’s sports for a reason. If you have XY chromosomes, I don’t care if you belong to the group of 0.01% of people who have “ambiguous external genitalia”, you should not be competing with the 99.9% of biologically normal women who have two X chromosomes.

    even if they were literally born different and even assuming they never knew they had XY chromosomes until those tests, going ahead and knowingly competing againt those with XX takes an extremely scummy character 💀

    IOC was notified of the chromosome results but did nothing since 2022. If IOC does not trust IBA's test methodology, why don't you conduct your own tests using separate lab? Obviously IOC does not care about women athletes' safety !!

    It boggles my mind, that people believe that putting a woman in a ring with a "wo"man - is an act in defense for the "wo"man, instead of caring about the actual woman in the room. They're literally demanding that those actual women get beat up, and then thank those dudes for the opportunity of competing. That's an act of actual evil, though... This isn't a political issue, this is actually evil.
