Id open it up to make one whole house. It has great potential . Someone sure likes books though that lived there.

It's still a duplex. Can you imagine beginning renovations for up to a year? The neighbors and their B&B guests would lose their minds.

I think its overpriced - considering some of the amazing properties that are available. I personally would return it to a single family use, completely change all the layouts w/very big open kitchen, huge bathrooms,..... probably try to make part of the first floor into a garage and workshop; add a pool and indoor sauna................ probably $300k in work. So - now you are around a million dollars. You can do MUCH better in Italy for that kind of $$........... sorry. Needs to be $400k - maybe less.
