Relax as I battle the mobs around my castle. I'm relatively new to Minecraft and I'm learning how to play so please have patience with this old man as I work to better my skills. Feel free to give me tips and pointers in the comments section. Your input is appreciated.

I began playing Minecraft in my spare time in June of 2017. At the time of this video, this is the only Minecraft world I've ever built and I did it entirely in survival mode.  I am a newbie and the only thing I know for sure about Minecraft is that there is much to be learned about Minecraft. In my first two Minecraft videos I showed you my castle and mining outpost and all subsequent Minecraft videos will be gameplay videos of me learning new things, trying out your suggestions, and trying to stay alive and prosper.

Concerning "survival" mode. I don't know much about creative mode other than you don't have to worry about anything happening to you, or to the treasures you've accumulated through hard work. Survival mode is what I prefer, and please keep in mind that this is only my opinion. You see, for me, there needs to be the element of "loss" involved in any video game I might play. In Minecraft, I am compelled to build and gather in order to better my life within the game. I think this aspect of the game is brilliant because it is our human nature to want to "make things" to make life easier and better. Survival mode brings in another element of real life, an element that keeps us alert and vigilant, and that element is "consequences of our actions".
Like life itself, in survival mode, Minecraft has consequences, though thankfully not as devastating as those sometimes encountered in real life. The thought of having my Minecraft inventory lost all because I carelessly decided to tangle with a  Zombie on my way back to my home base, is enough to make me avoid the Zombies until I have safely deposited my haul of gold, silver, diamonds, and coal, into a storage chest back home. So, more than just the decision of where to place the next blocks, the decisions one needs to make in order to survive are what seems to appeal me. Minecraft is much more forgiving than real life though, probably because in order to survive and prosper in Minecraft, the right decisions seem so blatantly clear, and more importantly, easy enough to execute. Where as in real life, for different reason, things aren't always as clear for people.

My message to everyone: when it comes to real life, think about what it took to get to whatever point you are now. Think of the hard work, the sacrifice by you, and perhaps by someone else that might have helped you get to wherever you are in life, and don't blow it...don't carelessly roll the dice with the Zombies when the consequences can be devastating.

  • "Let's go down there and tear him to pieces" he said calmly.
  • lava spreads fire to nearby wood blocks, that lava pool was probably just close enough to start a fire. so the tree sadly got burned down probably

He has such a womderful world with only a small understanding of the game, imagine if he was a redstone master or an extremely detailed builder
  • When he said "and we'll add a torch right here" that was it. I was sold. This man is the Bob Ross of Minecraft. Amazng.
  • You might not see this, but your videos are absolutely relaxing and even heartwarming. It's nice to see older generations take interest in things that people wouldn't expect them to. Also, your minecraft builds are very interesting. I love the fortress.

"The pig looks like it's having a good time." Honestly, this alone made my day. Thanks for your videos!

Everything about this channel makes me smile
  • The fact that this video is recorded on camera instead of screen capture somehow makes it even more relaxing. Thank you, you're one of my favorite Minecraft ASMR related YouTuber.
  • Watching content like this is very nostalgic for me but more than anything your gameplay reminded me of something important. Minecraft is a pretty peaceful and simple game so taking it slow is always nice. Having got back into the game last year after playing at its peak I would consider myself "well educated" in minecraft and subsequently I aimed to be as efficient as possible with autofarms and the like. Your minecraft content is some of the best on YouTube in my opinion because it reminds me of the old minecraft content, recorded on an xbox by someone who doesn't act like they know everything. Most of all though the relaxed attitude you maintain reminded me that in this game you really can take your time and enjoy the process. Thank you for truly capturing the essence of such a lovely game and thank you for making such enjoyable content.

53:17 that was a pyramid, inside there are 4 chest with loot, the chest are in an underground place, you can access by mining the violet block in the center, but be careful because the fall is large and is full of TNT that makes you die by the explocion if you touch the plate in the center, i recomend to mine the side blocks and make some kind of stairs
