Dude been almost destroying the universe and all and made tons of people suffer.. Gets a perfect ending with his best friend like nothing happend

For anyone confused as to the ending, yes, Sora died. Young xehanort repeatedly told him in the keyblade graveyard that him abusing the power of awakening to seek out hearts across worlds would come with the steepest price, and that sora would be lost as a result. King Mickey reaffirms this when he pleads with sora not to use it again to find kairi because he knows sora wouldn’t be able to make it back. There is a time skip between the ending at the keyblade graveyard and the one on destiny islands, the ending on destiny islands shows everyone got their happy endings and takes place after sora went to retrieve kairi. That’s why we see her sitting on the tree, but the sora we see with her is just symbolic of her connection with him, he isn’t actually there as he sacrificed himself to bring her back. That’s why we see her crying, and the image of him fades away while kairi remains. Sora gave his own life to bring kairi back. Need more confirmation? In the secret ending, we see Sora walking through the Shibuya streets of ‘The World Ends with You’, the world that the characters he met in traverse town in dream drop distance are from. In that world, people who have died play something called the reaper game, to earn a shot at coming back to life. we also see riku in the world of verum Rex, who likely found himself there in an attempt to find sora by retracing his steps, not knowing he’s already gone. RIP sora.

Mickey: Even if you do locate Kairi, you might never come home to us again. Sora: I will. And we’ll both be back before you know it. Sora: •dies• Mickey: Am I a joke to you?

I'm fairy certain there was an intentional connection with Sora possibly sacrificing himself for Kairi, the fact that Hercules was prepared to lose his life for Meg, Eugene prepared to sacrifice himself for Rapunzel, and Anna prepared to sacrifice herself for Elsa. I think that was all foreshadowing Sora's decision to do that for Kairi. Much like those cases though (judging by the secret ending) I'm also convinced that it's foreshadowing that Sora will be okay despite this.

So basically 13 years and we still don't know what's in that damn box.

Whoever thinks that Sora is dead forgot about 1 thing that this game is very consistent about NO ONE STAYS DEAD IN THIS GAME

I love how Donald and Goofy join Sora to take down Xehanort once and for all. He started his journey with them, and he'll end it with them.

Sora will return in Avengers Endgame

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between gameplay animation with CGI animation in this game. Then Unreal Engine 4 has done a great job rendering the game.

That secret ending tho....... is for my grand children to play and discover
