Hi Greg, I am a 75 year old rider. I started riding on the dirt at 13. Later in life I retired as a motor officer from Oakland, CA PD. Currently, my go to daily motor is a BMW 1250 RT. I found you so enthralling entertaining in this video I didn't realized you had back ground music until 16 plus minutes into it. Your work as a motor instructor is a valuable asset to the riding community. Keep up the good work! Greg Smith, Sacramento

"I missed the oil, the gravel, the dead squirrel, the 2x4, the car pulling out".....I think we've got some country song lyrics!

You said you enjoy teaching the most out of all the things you've done (in ur live Q&A) and you can tell watching this how much you enjoy conveying information in an easily digestible way for riders safety and knowledge. Great vid thanks man!

My biker friend said getting on a motorbike helps me cope when the world feels like a prison. I felt that. Respect to all the two wheel family!! ā¤šŸ‘ŠšŸ½

Favourite part of video is slow motion for adding throttle when exiting the corner šŸ˜„šŸ˜„

I don't often comment on YouTube videos but you are a blessing man! I am 28 and recently started my motorbike journey ob cb125r and I live in the UK. With it being winter and all, every single blind corner that I take was pretty much "hope I'll make it out alive" with constant rain and sun going down at 4pm, commuting is terrible and I don't own a car. I've been watching your videos so this one popped up on my feed and completely changed my perspective to cornering as well as using the brakes. Today doing one of the most daunting corners I go through everyday, which is literally a downhill 100 degree turn to the right, under heavy rain, it felt like a bliss. I am much more confident, relaxed and aware. On top of being genuinely funny, your concise relay of information and putting out there for all of us to learn so selflessly, you ARE a life saver. I am not exaggerating. If I am making it alive back home to my son everyday, it is partially thanks to you.

Hi Greg , I rode in my 20s and 30s , got married and kids, sold bike . Now they're grown and gone on their own, in my late 50s bought my dream bike. An older Dyna , I had forgotten how much I knew . Yep I took a beginners course and glad I did. Just wanted to say that your videos have really helped to enjoy riding again. Yes I still have a lot to relearn and not too proud to say it . I do get up at 4:00 am on weekends to practice what you preach on the grocery store parking lot. Sometimes the local Sheriffs dept will park and watch. lol Just wanted to say Thanks ! Also I never knew there was any music playing ! lol
  • Greg, I think this is one of your best videos! You totally engaged me as an audience member, so just shows you're a great teacher. And when you said that you will start to notice what others are doing and how they are not doing it efficiently and correctly I was nodding my head in agreement (as I've experienced this myself), even though I consider myself a novice rider. 10 out of 10! And thanks again.

Hey man, I follow you for so long, that those instructions (and many others) are hardwired on my brain. In fact, I used to repeat your "mantras" as I was riding. I could hear you talking. Now, those instructions are more natural to me, because I shut the hell up and practice. I'm a much better rider because of your work. So, thank you.

Iā€™ve been riding for 40 yearsā€¦and was getting ready to give it up due to the heebie-jeebies I have always felt due to uncomfortable changes in suspension geometry in turns that have been occurring because I was trained to never touch the brakes or throttle in a turnā€¦.your videos, especially this one, have changed my riding style, my confidence, my understanding, and have increased my enjoyment of riding so much that at 60 yrs old- it all feels like Iā€™m 20 again. Everything feels smoother, more in control, no heebie-jeebies and Iā€™m moving much faster through corners. The biggest plus of all? I am safer on the road. Thank you.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your videos. I have been riding for 50+ years, I like to keep a tape of your tips running through my head while I ride. My favorite so far was to train myself to be equally comfortable pushing or pulling to counter steer. Thank YOU for all you do for the motorcycle community.
  • 20yrs of riding and you just took alllll the little lessons I've been taught and made it super straight forward and none-oppinionated. Thank you!
  • @tremolony4924
-Going too fast -Not starting your line wide enough -Hugging the inside on a blind corner -Grabbing the front brake too hard mid turn -Increasing throttle & lean angle at the same time -Target fixation

Hi Greg. It has become a personal tradition over the last couple of years to watch your videos before the "riding season" starts again. They mentally prepare me for the street after winter. Thank you very much for keeping up your videos. Warm regards from Belgium
  • Absolutely love the way you explain it. Iā€™m one of those guys that needs a Barney style explanation every now and then. šŸ˜‚
  • @JasonNorth-vh3vg
Great video Greg. The technical explanation was humorous and really well explained. You are a master at explaining technique in an easy to understand and memorable way. I so often hear your voice when Iā€™m out there trying to apply the theory to my riding. Thank you!
  • @papaki616
Thank you for the advices!! Super useful!! Wish you happy new yearšŸŽ‰
  • @apox5308
Fantastic video, again! There are not enough videos out there teaching good cornering techniques and instructors often do not go into enough detail for the standard bike test. Only thing to add is that each bike is different on how it corners so practice these techniques but apply them and take time to get to know which bike you are on! MotoJitsu showing it is not just practice but the right practice that matters!
