You can still get the cloth disc filters for Silver Kings, and AFAIK, they'll fit a Fairfax also. Not only do they clog less, they filter better and let air flow more freely.

Thank you. I inherited one and wondered how filters went on. I wish you would show using the shampoo attachments.

I really admire your vast knowledge of past and somewhat recent tech, you've got an amazing channel that covers all the stuff everyone else wont cause they think its too niche. Your commentary and video style in unique to you all its it own, it just fits so well. Keep up you're fantastic work man!
  • Did you ever do a demo video of this? I love the one with the 2 watermatics.

In germany there also are door-to-door vacuum manufacturers (vorwerk kobold's). I don't know if you already told about door-to-door selling, but I think it would be interesting to know where it originates from. Greetings from germany

During my childhood in the 90s we had a russian "Ural" vacuum, my father brought from a trip in Russia. Check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3anRnqkPvA Similar design but the most interesting thing is that it had a padded cover and you could use it as a stool. Unfortunately the vacuum broke after it was dropped a few times... people liked to hold that handle... but it was used several years as a stool afterwards.

I can assure you i’ve never had a better vacuum than a Dyson... and i’ve had a kirby before it... My Dyson Ball Animal 2 is the best vacuum. Nothing out tops it...
