i played this game for many years sad to see its no longer a thing, seeing this brings back the good times

I’m working as a 2d artist on Aottg 2 and they had to restart the entire project or it would be out sooner. Edit:the reason it was restarted is because of something in the code which made them restart I don’t know if I’m aloud to say that but I want people to know that it still is being worked on so people don’t give up hope

This video was so well done! I really needed a modern video about this game, and wow did this do a good job at contextualizing the (what I assumed to be nonexistent) community. I had no idea about the racing or the high damage scores. My fond memories of this game was playing with a bunch of friends and getting slaughtered. Felt like we were in the anime despite the graphics 😂😂. I hope in the sequel they make it more grueling, so that the pro dmg and racers can find the enjoyment me and my friends felt

lovely video. I even got LUCKY to remember it out of nowhere, now 5 to 7 years later after playing that game and then abandonning it after discovering ROBLOX. Quite fun to see it again

I can vouch for the insanity of the damage grind, After breaking 3000 back when that was a big deal, there was just this itch I couldn't really satisfy. Once I had dedicated what was probably 1000s of hours to seeing big yellow numbers on a virtual screen the excitement started to fade and I realized it wasn't worth continuing to push towards the next "high" good to see the community is still alive tho S/O to TMJ, Eisenlocke, Niko, all of Jaegerbomb, Kor, and Legacy for the good times. It's a shame the high damage format for damage runs didn't take well tho would have been cool to see others try.

THE NOSTALGIA!!! I made so many friends and lots of enemies too within this game Some are still friends with me and we always look back on the good ol days of us going around challenging each other to see who could get highest damage I started using guns and was getting upward to 5k damage for the guns you have to go at double the speed for it to the same amount of damage as the swords meaning i was reaching up to 10k speed and still managing to hit them with the guns nad get high damage I miss this game.... I am in the discord for aottg 2 which is group of passionate fans who want to preserve the lifespan of aottg and improve upon what has already been made

I genuinely did not know this game was still alive and active (and downloadable!), I've played it plenty so many years ago now and thought it kind of just died out...

My favourite game ever made, the fastest time i ever had was 90 secs seeing people go 40 secs blew my fucking mind everytime i saw it. Its been years since ive played the game but that race clip u put in had my every hair stand on end.
