Great bike! Yamaha hit a home run with this one! Most people don't realize there is a motoamerica twins cup class which was owned by Aprilia RS660. The first year of the R7 stole the crown from Aprilia taking the championship in the twins cup class!

I had an FZ07 and moved up to a Street Triple RS, but I kinda want this specific bike for track. I’m not big on fully faired bikes but Yamaha did a bang up job on this one. Maybe I can convince my wife she needs one of these 😂

OC here!!! I have an R3 so it's pretty in the middle between a supersport and a naked bike in terms of riding position. I'm happy cuz its the power is always there and tbh its enough power for the ocasional mountain riding I do (I mostly just commute on it). I think I would prefer a supersport over a naked bike only based on looks, but then again I've never ridden a supersport to analyse the riding position vs a naked (which I have ridden before). Super great video!! Always entertaining and educational!! LOVE the camera angles!!

Hands down best looking bike Yamaha has made. With they gave it TFT display, twin spar frame and maybe 20 extra ponies and it would be the perfect bike.

Looks like a good bike for up in the North Ga Mts,my flashed R1 was useless up in the Mts but my Triumph Speed 1050 and Ducati Monster 1100 were perfect bikes up there. An underpowered bike with more TQ than horsepower is the perfect combination.

Its a shame companies only make more effort with special editions and anniversary editions. It would be great if they put these nice paint schemes as an option so the standard bikes.
