"The Chinese government was accused of being less than honest about the outbreak" sigh

Zombie apocalypse starts Zombies avoid people with illness The guy who ate the bat: “they called me a madman”
  • @greatbot99
Sick person: plays around with zombie Sick person again: gets better Zombie: You know the rules and so do I.
  • “The Chinese government was accused of being less than honest about the outbreak” This seems awfully fucking familiar doesn’t it?

The thing that bothered me the most about the movie was the zombies avoiding the sick but at the same time happily throwing themselves off skyscrapers, why didn't they just trample the sick instead of parting like the red sea to Mosses?

The movie is just showing how Philadelphia reacts when the eagles lose

Boy with cancer Also zombies: “understandable, have a nice day sir”.
  • @shockwave2477
In the book, it takes 20 hrs to die from a zombie bite and then 3 more hours to reanimate. Also the zombies are slow-moving. Major differences.

While I've never read the books, I agree with the sentiment that this movie feels like it should've been a trilogy. That said though, I still enjoyed the movie, even if I wish there had been more to it.
  • "The movie wasn't a book adaptation, it never was, but it was a message, and it, always will be for us"
  • The Battle Of Yonkers alone, while incredibly contrived, was worthy of a cinematic reprisal. The fact that it, along with hundreds of other items from the book, was overlooked is an unforgivable crime.

I'm so bummed that the movie wasn't faithful to its source material. It was a real waste of potential.

World war z is one of my favorite scifi novels. The way it is written like an oral history with ppl around the world just telling their story makes it really personal. The book takes you through hell and back with its interviewees and leaves you with a sense of hope and triumph at the end.

World War Z: Comes out in 2013. Coronavirus: You’re about 7 years too early.

2:50 “they don’t actually consume flesh” there are actually types of mold in the real world which can literally reanimate an insect’s body to allow it to use the host as a vehicle to carry the mold to another potential host. As far as I know they can do this with the insect nearly fully decomposed and no sustenance.

The Solanum virus is like a giant game of Tag.

I honestly surprised that you haven't covered world war z before this

In the book there were these things called quislings. They were living people that went crazy and started acting like actual zombies in a sort of “assimilation” thing. Some say early reports of zombies attacking each other were actually real zombies and attacking quislings bcz the real ones could tell automatically. But they just let the real zombies devour them 😳.
