It never fails to amaze me how these guys, so many years later, can still make the young ladies swoon! Proof of just how talented they really were, very few like them left in the world
  • @amishgirl1000
One of the most beautiful songs ever written and sung by one of the most incredible groups ever in the history of of music.
  • @bobv586
They donated this song and all of it's proceeds forever to UNICEF the Children's charity it has made millions for the charity over the years. So not only are they talented but also nice people.

When Barry first sings " ooh, me and you girl ", I have to admit, it gives me chills every time I hear it. So many years later, I'm 55 now, and I still love the anticipation I feel waiting for that line to drop.
  • the song becomes even more beautiful when we know that they donated all profits to charitable purposes.

You should notice, three singers, one mike. Their harmony has to be perfect since no post production tweaking is possible. That is the level of talent these guys had.
  • @margoburns9085
They were the kings of falsetto harmonies, and Barry was the emperor.

I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This would have been in our wedding. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs. old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. He left behind his wife, Yvonne and two children. Robin left behind his wife, Dwina and 4 children. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. Andy left behind a daughter. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2023, he and his wife Linda will celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78 January 12, 2023. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine on his chest. His mom said he almost died, and he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released by the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive https://youtu.be/I_izvAbhExY?si=eyCf1YX82i7bGaeL How Deep Is your Love? https://youtu.be/XpqqjU7u5Yc?t=1 Closer Than Close https://youtu.be/m6XIdjEHLRs One https://youtu.be/KRUeMgzOCCo?t=1 You Win Again https://youtu.be/KZY9oYSSjFI?t=1 Spirits (Having Flown) https://youtu.be/ONmVEJnxysc?t=1 Bodyguard https://youtu.be/Fx5XwIKCs3o?t=1 Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) https://youtu.be/b_wTZjo9azk?t=1 (Destiny Child's was a cover. Nice harmony, but crazy video. Who pours bleach on someone's clothes?) Barry said he liked it. Can we say, "Royalties." At one time, 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them, for others, were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2! December 2023, Barry Gibb and 4 other entertainers will be recognized for their contribution to the entertainment industry. Kennedy Center Honors. I'm sure this will be a very emotional time for Barry Gibb. As children, Robin liked to set fires. The constables - (police) asked his parents to move or their sons would be put in reform school. Barry was a ladies' man. He kept rings for different girls. Maurice was quiet. He liked photography.

It does my heart good to see this generation enjoy the music of my youth.
  • @davewedge484
Barry is in the middle ,Robin is on the left and Maurice on the right
  • Bee Gees are phenomenal. They could sing any genre and their vocals, harmonies and their prolific songwriting made them one of the most influential artists in pop music history. Please react to LOVE SO RIGHT, thank you. ❤❤❤
  • I was A Junior in High school when this song came out I remember first school dance I asked the Girl of my Dreams to the Dance she said yes 40 + years Later we are still Dancing too this Classic this is real Music
  • @stevehutnikoff5964
This is what love songs used to sound like. The songs were written to the girl, not about her.
  • @DannyCramer
I remember being a child when they were at their peak and their music was played so much all over the radio, tv, you couldn’t ride the bus to school without hearing them. We began to take their talent for granted. Some 40 plus years later Im constantly blown away by what we had during that era. Priceless and timeless.
  • @Mercury0369
A timeless masterpiece, 10,000 years from now it'll still be a hit ! Ron
  • @steve9199
This is an example of what they call "Blood Harmony". For some reason, when you get a group of family members singing together, they way their voices blend is almost other-worldly.
  • @gwenmorantz7767
Started singing together in the 1950’s. Hits in the 60’s through the 2000’s. 5 decades of hits. The only group to ever have 5 songs in the top ten at the same time. The fabulous Brothers Gibb wrote all of their own songs, and wrote for other artists. They wrote over 1,000 songs.
