2 sentence horror story: "surprise! You're drumming for rush"
-
Imagine being 69 years old, not playing in public for 7 years, then sounding as good as that
-
I love the fact that it takes two drummers to come close to Neil Peart's sound, Neil Peart really does stand alone
-
I love Matt’s shrug after his solo. It’s like he’s saying “Welp, that was no Neil Peart, but it was fun!”
-
Jokes aside, seeing Les Claypool and Geedy Lee on the same stage doing basically a serious song for comedic purposes is the most badass thing you can imagine!
-
Imagine going to South Park concert to listen to funny songs and stories but then you also get to witness one of the most legendary musical moments
-
This is why Matt and Trey's partnership is so strong, imagine reforming a band for your mate 😂
-
You know there had to be some hardcore rush fans In this crowd and I can only imagine how they reacted to this lmao
-
Matt and Trey's enduring friendship is probably super rare in showbiz, you don't see a lot of creative partnerships last this long in Hollywood.
-
Man, what a fucking wild trip this must have been for Matt. Plus the honor and probably terrifying fact of filling in for Peart...
-
Literally two of the best bass players to ever live on stage playing together
-
Alex Lifeson, ALWAYS underrated as a guitar player. I wish he got the love and accolades he deserves.
-
Geddy ending it with a simple “Thank you, eh?” is the most Canadian sign off ever. Chef’s kiss.
-
It seems like they didn't realize what a big deal this was gonna be when they planned it, and now it's become borderline iconic.
-
I love that Geddy at every stage of his career looks like a wizard
-
This brought me to tears for a couple reasons... first, I never thought I'd see Ged and Al doing Rush music again. Second, as an aspiring musician, if my heroes surprised me and came out to play with me at a gig, I'd not be able to hold back the tears. What a great moment for ol' Stone.
-
Honestly, my favourite thing about this was Trey sitting back and just watching with the biggest smile on his face for how happy he was for Matt. Absolutely amazing.
-
Knowing how close Matt was to Neil this was absolutely something he never thought would happen in his life. Just great seeing them back on stage.
-
I love that Les is so stoked to be on stage with his heroes.
