The BEST PORTABLE SPEAKER I've Ever Heard | Soundcore Motion X600

Published 2023-05-21
The Soundcore Motion X600 has a lot going for it. Incredible build quality, app support, great sound, but the big difference here is the addition of spatial audio to the speaker. It sounds fantastic. Better than any $200 portable speaker should. And the spatial audio is the secret sauce.

This brand needs more recognition they do miracles for the price they are the anti apple brand.
  • Thanks, Jason. I am really happy with mine too. It is impressive.
  • Soundcore makes great products at affordable prices. I'm definitely a fan

Would have liked to hear more about your tweaking of the EQ curve on the app, as others have said that out of the box they weren’t too impressed until they started tweaking the EQ. I noticed your comment about the default EQ being very bass heavy but didn’t hear anything more about your EQ tinkering.

I have the blue Motion X600 and it is an excellent speaker. It is powerful and the clarity of the sound it produces is superb. There isn't any need to purchase another Bluetooth speaker after this one in my opinion. Total 5 stars.

This is awesome! Thanks for the review
  • I am an old dawg like you...teen in the 80s. I LOVE mine and am stupid-critical of my boomboxes. It is mid-sized...a plus for traveling. VERY balanced soundstage
  • I have 2 Soundcore Bluetooth speaker and I am impressed with the quality of sound for the price, maybe I need a 3rd Speaker as the x600 sounds brilliant!

I love this speaker. Last week I went all in and got a Sony SRS-XG300, JBL Xtreme 3, LG XBoom 360 (xo3q), Marshall Middleton, and the Soundcore MotionX600 just so I could do a deep dive and really figure out my favorite. They all sounded fantastic but the Soundcore just did a little something extra to the music and added a few more layers in the Treble that the others didn't. At the end of the day I actually wound up keeping the LG Xboom 360 cause it was the most sonically consistent of the group where no sound ever got overpowered by another and the music never overpowered the vocals. This was the only thing I noticed about the Soundcore depending on what I was listening to, which was why I didn't keep it. Out of the group the best sounding overall to me was the LG and not by a large margin at all mind you, but I will say this: if you are someone who primarily listens to beat heavy music like Hip Hop, EDM, instrumentals, or just doesn't put alot of value in vocal clarity then the Soundcore is very VERY hard to beat especially for its price

Nice, but, why not have old style hinged handle, like our old Pioneer Getho blasters. Would take up less headroom in tight spaces.

How is their sound compared to the Liberty 4? I had these but really missed the middle frequencies and now I have and love the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 as I'm very used to neutral sound profiles. Now I need an affordable speaker for my kitchen.

I bought one of these speakers. I am an audiophile. not some dumb kid looking for a speaker that is driven toward bass only. For a small speaker, and at $200. this is the best I have herd so far (for sound quality not volume). Some of the other speakers I own are the JBL boombox, mini rig 2 AIWA. I am amazed at how little people care about sound quality today. The full range on this speaker is perfect for it's size. every frequency is herd. your not missing mids or highs to divert that energy toward bass. good range and clear.

I have several SoundCore speakers and I think they’re the best bang for buck. You must know that I used to own BT speakers from Harman, JBL and Bose.
  • @terellkid1
Anyone know how Anker/Soundcore does this. Their speakers always perform the same or better than speakers that cost double than theirs. How do they keep their price so low while delivering high quality audio products.

Can it handle being outdoors in direct sunlight? I have a bluetooth speaker, but when laying out in the sun listening to music it heats up and shuts itself down depending on how long it is in the sun.
