Published 2024-02-21
Intel has built a suite of free AI tools for Audacity. And in this video, I’ll show you how how to get them and how they work. Plugins not showing? Click Edit - Preferences - Modules - set mod-openvino from New to Enabled - click OK and restart Audacity.

The package contains an AI noise-reduction tool, a transcription tool, which is great for podcasters, and music generation and separation tools.

Get them here - github.com/intel/openvino-plugins-ai-audacity/rele…

Thanks for the clear, clean, no nonsense presentation. Subscribed.

You made my day! New to Audacity. Picking up drums and guitar. This sound isolation will come in very useful in my new hobbies. I think the installation has been improved without the need to manually move the files to a certain location. Look forward to more of your videos!

Thanks Joe you saved me a bunch of time getting it all set up. Works great. Subbed 👍👍

It won't show up at first, now it's just perfect! Thanks for the tutorials!!

Looks amazing! Downloading now. Using the Windows installer. Thanks!

This is an extrem productive video with full of great information - all make right in the video - all my thumbs goes up and likes goes out. Great job! Edit - three month after this video - ther are an windows installer, so it is more easier.
  • Downloaded and installed and everything went fine. Worked a charm on the audio file I selected. Don't know how it works but all the seperate tracks were created from the original single track I loaded into it. Thanks SO much for the tutorial. Just a couple weeks ago I was wondering if there was a way to isolate just the drum track from a song....now there is!

Thanks for the video! I'm surprised I'm not seeing more OpenVino videos from people yet. I've been playing with Style Remix for a week now - it's fun to experiment with and I assume it's going to evolve and progress at the same rate chat and image generating AI have.
  • @LearnAudacity
Thanks for this. I hope they make it available for the Mac soon.

Hi There, I've just updated to 3.5 and have not been able to restart OpenVINO, I'm getting an error message which reads 'Unable to load the "mod-openvino" module. Error: The specific procedure could not be found' Any ideas how to work around this issue?
  • So, I have the latest Audacity (3.5.1 64bit) and I just downloaded the OpenVino plugin (v3.5.1-R2.1), I enabled and restarted, but when I go to Effect>OpenVINO AI Effects, I only have "Music Separation" and "Noise Suppression". I want to use the "Music Style Remix" but it isn't showing up. On the gihub they have a screenshot showing it in that list but I am not seeing it, do I need to download something else?
  • @CoolDudeClem
When I load Audacity I get "Uni-able to load the "mod-openvino" module. Error: The specified procedure could not be found". Could someone translate this robot language into PLAIN ENGLISH? I don't understand HALF of what that error means (like with most errors I encounter), so I don't know what I did wrong. I did it EXACTLY like in the video on Github, so what the hell?
  • @nvadito7579
In an audio with two overlapping voices, can you separate the voices into different tracks?
  • @deepdiver51
All was working well, tyhank you, until this morning when I downloaded the latest Audacity Version 3.5.0. and now it says "Unable to load the "mod-openvino" module. Error - The specified procedure could not be found". I have enabled New to Enabled in Modules, I have checked that both downloads have been copied into the Audacity programme. Have the Audacity developers put something into the programme to stop us using OpenVINO and make us use their useless "Vocal Reduction & Isolation"? Any suggestions, please. Also, any suggestions how to revert back to the older version of Audacity?
  • @horrgakx
I get the error; "The specified procedure could not be found". I've triple checked the file locations, and even uninstalled and re-installed the latest Audacity, but still doesn't work.
  • Can you explain the difference between the base model and large models? Will it be better transcribed?
  • @markquiroz3460
I am getting this error: Unable to load the "mod-openvino module" a dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed I followed directions and tried this twice. Does anyone know while my new dll is failing?
  • @outofindiatheory
Any idea how to save the transcription as a timed text file or even just a plain text file?
