Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the US election was 'last-minute'

Joe Biden has ended his re-election campaign and endorsed Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate.
“It was a last-minute decision, despite some of the speculation that’s been around,” Mr Hockey told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“A couple of things happened today that apparently changed his mind.
“One was a disastrous poll in Michigan, six points behind, and the second was that he was warned that there were more than 100 Democrat senators and congressmen that were about to come out over the next few days calling on him not to run.”

Biden is (was) not the problem. The problem is Democrat policies (soft on crime, open border, higher taxes, gun control, DEI and so on). No matter whom the Democrats finally select to run the voters will know that they (or the people behind the scenes really in charge right now) will continue pushing these policies. So if you like the way the nation is today vote for the Democrats, if you want to see a change in direction vote Republican.

Why would he step down after literally just saying he was running for sure. Obviously the powers that be were like like “you’re done, you step down or you will die from Covid, understand?”
