Awww I remember in the daydream hour art books ryoko mentioned laios always keeps himself neat with no long hair or facial hair since while they were in the caravan falin said laios looked like their dad and he immediately shaved and cut his hair lol

Wooooooooo!! We finally got to my FAVOURITE piece of foreshadowing payoff in the series! The gag of the dragon meat rolling away returning as the critical clue to helping Falin is just GENIUS. Writing a gag into a piece of major foreshadowing without lessening the joke or spoiling the reveal feels like something I just don't see very often. SO happy season 2 is confirmed! As a manga reader it's an absolute joy to see how it's been adapted, and we're finally getting into the best parts of the story!

Im really satisfied of how it ended, we were left on a cliffhanger but at the same time we got enough

I was really curious where they would cut off this season, cause the manga is a pretty linear story and doesn't tend to do "arcs" so much as short story beats that can kinda be categorized (like pre- and post-dragon, or when Izutsumi joins.) . But this was actually the perfect way to end it. It 1: finished off the problem from the prev ep, 2: set up a little cliff hanger with the elves and other side characters, and 3: established the party's plan and end goal going forward. The next handful of chapters really start to pick up the pace in terms of plot, so it's good they didn't try to push any further ahead than this. I'm so excited for the next few monsters/story beats for a variety of reasons. Season two can't come soon enough! (I'm pretty confident they could finish up nicely with one more two-core season)

Something interesting about the scene with falin’s gifts to marcille is that the flowers look like they’re supposed to be lilies which in Japanese are yuri or the general term for girls love

You have no idea how the information of the dungeon shaping itself based on desire is going to come back in season 2. And it will come back with absolutely earth shattering reveals. This story is unbelievably good and I'm really glad it's getting a complete adaptation

Im guessing Laios' words about eating monsters stuck with her, and she tried doing just that! I really feel bad for Falin, she must be pretty hungry with such a huge body- But she won't be hungry for long since season 2 was announced! /Wink wink

Throwaway dialogue? In dungeon meshi? Also one thing about the anime is that is manga readers also have no idea what it's voice sounds like... we very well could have heard him already...
