Another tip: When trying to get a legendary fish, you'll know it is coming by the large V-shaped wave coming straight at the lure.

One thing that I recently discovered, was when Arthur picks plants, and the location is put on map. Should you forget what plant came from where, simple match the map icon with the icon in your satchel. For example, if you picked Oleander Sage, then needed it later on, when making poison weapons, but forgot where you got the Sage from, just look at the icon for it in the satchel, then match it with the icon location(s) on the map. Works great for rare plants like Queen Orchid, Lady of the Night Orchid, etc.

Just keep selling wagons for $40 a peace instead of carrying hide to the other side of the map for $3

"You will find grizzlys 100% of the time..." until you get to the master challenge and then you cant find any lol

I usually use a cover scent when I'm near a panther or cougar's area. I'm not sure it works but it keeps me from peeing my britches at least.

If you want to try a neat trick, when a bear is charging you, put away your weapon and stand, face the animal, completely still. It will stop a few feet from you, stomp it’s feet, and turn away. I tried it to make sure it was true

Thanks to the grizzly bear being a fish predator, salmon and trout have evolved the ability to see shadows moving on the surface of the water and take evasive action instinctively. If you observe a grizzly bear catching fish out of a stream with its paws, you'll notice he will try to orient himself facing the sun so his shadow falls behind him to avoid scaring away the fish in front of them. As far as I can tell, the fish in Red Dead Redemption II are oblivious to shadows.
  • I love charging straight toward bears and having my own personal Revenant encounter.

My personal special tip is to get a second horse (tame one or steal one), upgrade to affinty lvl 1, you can whistle your two horses and whistle the second one to follow you. This way you can have x2 big skin or big fish. Works very well and very helpful. Sometimes I personnally did it with 3 horses (you ride the 3rd with no affinity and whistle to follow the two others), its less manageable but great to run to sell 3 Big skins for crafting for example. Its something i found on my second playthrough and i never seen it on yt or any guide.

a couple of things, in addition to the grizzly bear, the wolf, and the cougar, I think the panther which is found down in the more swampy areas, should also be included on that list of predators that will always attack. Second, regarding accidental death or injury of your horse, twice I shut my application down right away after accidentally killing my horse, and twice turned it back on and had my horse and was right pretty much where I left off, only with a horse that was still alive.
  • I prefer Moonstone Pond as my primary hunting spot, especially in Chapter 2, not only do I find it a great spot to start out hunting, but I found a great amount of valuables there too. I recently noticed while playing the game that a $50 jewelry bag you find in the collapsed cabin respawns there every two days, and within a few in game days I managed to grab over $150 worth of valuables from that broken down cabin alone!

Pretty sure the buck antler dosent make a 2 star animal a perfect pelt. For me at least it seemed more like if you didnt get a perfect kill on a 3star animal it made it stay a perfect pelt instead of a good one
  • @lamechyudah7190
Although the buck trinket is a must go to, I think for people who are having trouble with perfect pelts is they are not paying attention to the Animal Info . its telling you exactly what weapon you should use. For example: A [blank] animal is best hunted with a repeater, that means use a repeater weapon and "regular" rounds, NOT express etc...unless it specify different ammo. if you are to use a bow with improved arrows, dont use a bow and small game arrows or regular.

Hunting is my favorite thing ever because the bear u hunt with Hosea actually has an awesome hat
  • Once a cougar attacked me while I was standing on the edge of brandy wine drop and when I turned around to throw it off me I yeeted it off if the falls. It was satisfying.

I found about 3 cougars at once in the Great Plains near Blackwater. They're pretty common around there

Can I make a suggestion for a video/series? One that shows important things to do on in each chapter BEFORE continuing. There are certain side missions and items like special guns etc that can only be gotten at certain times/chapters it would be nice for a vid showing that and maybe the best way to complete each chapter?
