  • Brings tears to my eyes even after 2 decades.... The era when music was at its best and most meaningful.
  • @ArRizal
I really miss the 90s where every band/group/artist in every genre made beautiful and meaningful music. Even a metalhead like me can enjoy music like this.
  • At 42 years old I still get the chills from this song. Forever a Spice Girl Fan ❤❤❤❤❤

3 albums, 100 million copy in only six years, break up at the peak of their career, the best selling girlband in history. I can't say nothing more for their greatness
  • If you grew up listening to this kind of music,THEN YOUR CHILDHOOD WAS AWESOME!!!!!

This song is one of the saddest I know. I think a lot of the power comes from the fact that it meshed perfectly with the Spice Girls' story in two different ways. On the obvious level, they were saying goodbye to Geri, who had left the group. But on another level, the girls were saying goodbye to us. I think they knew that the Spice Girls moment was ending, and were probably aware of this second meaning to the song as they wrote and sang it. I think many of their fans understood it that way too. Many of their fans were quite young, so some might not have understood yet the way pop moments come and go, but I bet even they felt it.

I'm 37 years old and I still remember when Geri left the Spice Girls. Cried for a whole week. This song still gets me chills and makes me cry like back then. Can't get over it.

My sister and I were the biggest Spice Girl fans when we were growing up, in Feb 2008 she sadly passed away aged 19, we played this song at her funeral surrounded by all of her friends and family. It’s still hard to listen to without tears but always reminds me of what we had ❤️

I played this at my daughter’s funeral because she was always such girl power & this song seemed like the perfect fit with her personality! ❤ Plus I had always loved the Spice Girls too & used to be so in love with Sporty (Mel C aka Melanie Chisholm…) ❤

23 years later and this song still makes me cry. I miss my daughter so much. 12 was way too soon. We used to sing with them all the time.
  • @lillinablue
One of their most elegant and beautiful songs.

My sister and I met Emma Bunton in 2014! She was so incredibly sweet!
  • "Look for the rainbow in every storm. Find out for certain, loves gonna be there for you. You'll always be someone's baby." I adore the way she sings those words. When this song came out, I had been a Spice Girls fan since the beginning, and when I first heard this, as a fan, I wept. I felt as if they were singing to the fans. It's a beautiful song and it will always be. LoveU Spice Girls and ThankU for being a part of my life 😘

  • @dudette2x
Would listen to this song on repeat when I was younger. 20 odd years later and with so many loved ones passed, the words hit in such a different way now ❤❤

2022, my cat passed away yesterday and this beautiful song makes me think about the love we felt for each other 💖 I know she's gone but I can still feel her here 🥰
