My mother had schizophrenia, bad enough for me to be taken into care, her to be sectioned and me to spend my childhood in a children’s home and foster care. She NEVER, hurt a fly and was never violent. I don’t buy the “he was obviously very unwell” narrative, when it comes to such violent and dangerous crimes. Perhaps we should consider looking into the effects of generational trauma, and how this affects the children of traumatised adults, before we allow thousands upon thousands of such traumatised people into our communities, who have come from environments we can’t even imagine.
