This song makes me want to play Wii without the safety strap on.

This was my dad's favorite song. He was a Vietnam veteran.
  • In 1979 me and a mate went on my CB200 to Bordon cinema (England) to see Easy Rider, we were 17, it rained all the way there. As we sat in soggy belstaff waterproofs I swore that one day I'd ride across America. Some 40 years later my wife lay ctitically ill in hospital, it was touch and go, she recovered. After that I jacked my job in, we packed our bags and headed off to California to fulfill that dream, I had never let it go. We took 5 weeks, through the rockies, across the plains, down the Missisippi to Nashville, Alabama and up to Washington DC. It was maybe the best 5 weeks of my life, drifting through the USA on a motorcycle, this soundtrack going through my mind. It rained in America too, even in the Nevada desert in August!

I rode across America on a Harley because of this film. No one shot me ,and I loved it . Best country ever. Love from UK.

My dad was an accountant, but he loved this kind of music (much to some people’s surprise). When my sister and I were young, he would take us for drives in his 20 year old Porsche 911, with this song playing at the maximum volume. Such great memories. He unexpectedly passed away on June 3rd, 2022 at age 57. We requested this song to be played at his funeral, but my family forgot we requested it! So when it started playing, everyone instantly burst out into happy laughs and smiles from memories of a bygone era. RIP Dad.

My dad requested this song was played at his funeral. People were headbanging, he would've loved it.

Young Jack Nicholson in the gold helmet just having the time of his life. A perfect song for this movie.

My late brother died aged 42 in 1994. Every time I hear this I think of him. What a tune.

Get your motor running Head out on the highway Lookin' for adventure In whatever comes our way Yeah, darlin', gonna make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once and Explode into space I like smoke and lightning Heavy metal thunder Racin' with the wind And the feeling that I'm under Yeah, darlin', gonna make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once and Explode into space Like a true nature's child We were born, born to be wild We can climb so high I never wanna die Born to be wild Born to be wild Get your motor running Head out on the highway Lookin' for adventure In whatever comes our way Yeah, darlin', gonna make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once and Explode into space Like a true nature's child We were born, born to be wild We can climb so high I never wanna die Born to be wild Born to be wild
