Lyrics:
Hello, Dolly
This is Louis, Dolly
It's so nice to have you back where you belong
You're lookin' swell, Dolly
I can tell, Dolly
You're still glowin'...you're still crowin'
You're still goin' strong
I feel the room swayin'
While the band's playin'
One of our old favorite songs from way back when
So take her wrap, fellas find her an empty lap, fellas
Dolly'll never go away again

Hello, Dolly
Well, hello, Dolly
It's so nice to have you back where you belong
You're lookin' swell, Dolly
I can tell, Dolly
You're still glowin'...you're still crowin'
You're still goin' strong
I feel the room swayin'
While the band keeps on playin'
One of our old favorite songs from way back when
So...golly, gee, fellas
Have a little faith in me, fellas
Dolly'll never go away
I said she'll never go away
Dolly'll never go away again

This should be required viewing for all humans.

I couldn’t see personnel information in the description so, for anyone interested, here’s the line-up of the All Stars for this date: Louis Armstrong, trumpet & vocals Joe Muranyi, clarinet Tyree Glenn, trombone Marty Napoleon, piano Buddy Catlett, bass Danny Barcelona, drums Jewel Brown, vocals
  • When I was three I first heard him in the Ed Sullivan show and fell in love with the sound of his voice and trumpet playing. He is the reason I am a trumpet player - and along with Cootie Williams Frankie Newton and Hot Lips Page why I still play today. Love his energy as an entertainer here!

What an Iconoclast. Followed his own rules and everyone loved him.
  • They were having just the best time bringing the house down! Love Mr. Armstrong. My favorite of his is “I Wonder” but anything of his he performed (I’ve seen) was amazing.

One of my favorites from Louis Armstrong 😊❤
  • That's Entertaining! Just musicians, doing what they know to do, no visual effects, lights bombing scenario and other distractors… only the Art, the pure Art. Everybody remembers Louis, he's unique.
