The Walther PD380 is a 380 ACP handgun with a 9+1 Magazine capacity, Locked Breech Short Recoil Action for softer shooting and an Easy rack Slide. Based on the Walther PDP Slide Serrations and Grip Texture, this makes an excellent choice for 1st time shooters, small hands and weak hand strength. Thank you to Walther Arms for providing the PD380 for this review. ‪@Waltherarms‬

Walther makes a very good product. The quallity is superb.

Walther (to me) has always had the very best ergonomics in their grips. Reliable and comfortable!
  • Just got my carry. This is my first firearm as a permit holder. Can’t wait to have fun with it. Fits perfectly in my hand and lite weight
  • The 9 + 1 just killed it. A gun that size can hold more than 9 rounds I'll just keep my l c p max and it's twelve plus one magazine Thanks scooch for the video

Just a face lift of the old PK380. Needed a double stack mag upgrade. The grips are huge and could easily accommodate a larger capacity.

😌 I am so glad to hear you that it is a small, little gun & not 1 of those small, big ones. :face-blue-smiling:
  • @VampyrumFerox
Damn, I was interested until he called it a “lady’s gun”. I need a “man’s gun” to over compensate for… well, that’s not important.

I've become somewhat enamored with the .380 round again. I actually swapped my Sig P365 9mm for the .380 version. I also purchased the Beretta 80X in .380 earlier this year. I like the looks of this new Walther - might have to check it out if they rent it at the gun club...

Walther remains a top brand anyone who knows anything about quality pistols knows that good video
  • @orthogonal1
Hate safeties on slides. Safeties should be frame mounted, like God intended.
  • @DerpASherpa117
For the love of God Walther just make a PPS M3 based on the PDP with 10+ rounds, a standard optic cut and a light rail already!

for a while I owned an H&K with one of those paddle mag ejector and at first it felt strange, but after a while I really loved it.

I'm getting that for my Daughter! Right now she's training on the Walther P22, that's PERFECT!

Good to see the big manufacturers coming out with new 380 tools. With modern ammo technology I have no hesitation carrying one. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on ammunition choices. Great review as always.

I have a PK380 and a PDP full size. My wife is left handed, petite and recoil shy. If the trigger on this is better than the PK380 this would be ideal for her. Folks that think this thing is supposed to be for everyone really miss the niche this gun is made for. Compare this to the EZ380 and its not a bad concept.
  • @ste4282
This is going to be my first pistol. Ticks all the boxes for me - trying to introduce my wife to shooting as well. We plan to have a shotgun and pistol and this will match my level of experience and her hand-size. Thanks for the review.

I own 2 other Walthers and just got the PD380 today, always liked the ergonomics. Still breaking it in, had some misfeeds on Armscor ammo, tried a diff brand and it ran better. Tear down is a cinch for cleaning!
  • @Rairyuujin
As cool as this firearm looks, I’d still go with the Ruger Security 380 for its capacity advantage and sighting system. It’s thin in the hands, with the same ez racking feature.
  • Walther has had a great history of making great firearms. 100% German Quality.
