Update (Aug 18, 2022) - I don't actually have plans to remaster Zero vs Omega but there's still a possibility I would. If ever I did, don't expect it would be around soon like in this year. Perhaps around next year if ever. Don't expect much though. xD

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alternate title is "Maverick Hunter X". Although that title wouldn't attract at all. "X vs Zero Decisive Battle" sounds more enticing.

X5- X vs Zero animation fan re-imagining. I want this animation to be distinct or unique to fans. :)

I was planning to post this at the original video's 12th anniversary some time near Mega's 35th anniversary too so it's an advance treat as well. However, it's been loooong since I last posted, I better post this already. xD I guess it won't be bad to have a very advance Megaman 35th anniversary treat. xD

I don't have the original files anymore so I recreated it. It's technically a remake but the outcome looks more of a remaster. I didn't expect the 2010 animation would be great to Megaman fans. :D I'm happy it became nostalgic. I hope you will like this remastered version.

Btw, I don't monetize my videos but ads are showing up. O_O I remember Youtube mentioned that if a video uses a copyrighted assets, the copyright holder can monetize the video. Since the sprites belong to Capcom... Capcom is behind it? O_O But after a few research I found out it's Youtube's new rights/policy...

Anyway, hope you enjoy watching! :)

  • Update (Dec 25, 2023): I made a remaster of Zero vs Omega Decisive Battle as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTvW8UauRI4 --------------------- Update (May 26, 2022): First week of the video. Glad you enjoy it. Thanks for the many views in first week! However, it's not a new animation so I don't expect a LOT more of views actually. Also, this is just for people who wanted a remaster, the original animation got millions already. :) I rarely make videos now, I'm very busy and mostly prefer drawing. Perhaps some time again. I don't prioritize these stuffs anymore so don't expect much. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Btw, Maverick Hunter X/Day of Sigma is a reboot not part of the original X timeline but despite that I want it included on this fan re-imagining. The use of Unlimited X potential (shining hands) to Awakened Zero would be a unique and fun idea. It can make the animation distinctive. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's nice that even though I included X6 weapons/armors on an X5 battle people are pretty cool about it. :) Anyway this is just a fan re-imagining of X vs Zero. I was thinking of replacing the X6 weapons/armors into X1-X5 weapons but looking back at the comments, the 2010 animation became nostalgic! If I do that, the changes would be a lot, it could mess with nostalgia. I better keep it that way. However, I may still do an alternate version without the X6 stuffs.

The Nova Strike buzzsaw complete with X’s howl of sheer fury is fucking immaculate.
  • @Pedory
This was the first ever YouTube video i've watched when i came in 2011 and i was 9 that time. I'm crying, i'm seeing through my childhood now.
  • @AWiseEgg
I love how the animation is 80% dodging and deflecting each other’s attacks 10% dialogue 6% screaming 4% actually destroying eachother

2:20 Zero shoots three shots, rather than two. 3:28 Zero's Kuuenzan only splits X's shot into two, rather than four. 3:54 The blasts during the Ride Armor segment seem to have been redone, going from translucent blue rays to bright masses of energy. 4:00 The screen no longer lights up as X charges his Giga Attack, and the blasts now have yellow cores in addition to the other visual changes. (Thanks, Thunder Knight) 4:55 The fire wave in Burn Dinorex's stage is shown being blocked by the terrain. 5:16 Ultimate Armor X enters with a Nova Strike, rather than punching Zero in the face. 5:28 A barrier forms whenever X's Nova Strike is blocked by Awakened Zero. 5:45 Unlimited Potential X's Buster Shots are blue from the start, instead of being green at first then turning blue near the end. 6:00 Zero appears to use Shin Messenkou here, when in the original, the attack seemed to be Rekkoha. It may have been intended to be Shin Messenkou from the start. Those were all of the major differences I could see, ignoring the HD graphics, new audio, and voice clips.

I just love how you can see the most replayed moments now and everyone agrees 5:44 is just perfection.
  • @samquik
5:45 so much power behind those strikes, absolutely beautiful. Love X screaming Zero's name too
  • "I don't have the original files anymore so I recreated it."- JUST RECREATED IT!? Your work is already amazing but that you've become so comfortable that you can speak so lightly of the work it had to have taken is just incredible! The original has always been one of my favorite tributes of all times and you made it so much better and that's not even taking into account that you just REDID the whole thing. I guess what I'm getting at is that your work is amazing.
  • @MalosiAudios
It’s been so many years but I never noticed X spares Zero at the end, which is how the latter was able to cut off his arm. That was beautiful Maverick 🧡
  • @conic2721
Jesus Christ. This animation, the coolest thing on Earth. That was absurdly unexpected but a fantastic surprise.
  • @TravTravYT
It's been literally over half a decade, and the small moment of X besting and sparing Zero still hits.
  • @rhenevers5229
5:44 Is still the most hypest moment for me. The spirit fingers, flashing images of everyone from X's life, and ending it with an image of Dr Light! Goodness gracious!
  • @TheFirehands150
I don't think you understand how much you mean to the Megaman community. Long after the games came out, you still continued to make great content that we came back to watch again and again. As you can tell from your view count, us Megaman fans are still here. Thank you for your videos and love for Megaman. Rock on.
  • @GitGudWO
Nostalgia rushing through my veins as I remember my childhood playing Megaman X on my PSP
  • @NickNitro
I would never claim I inspired this, but I hope my words gave some extra motivation to do it if was already on your mind. thank you for the amazing animations over the years bud, been a fan for over a decade & it's been a pleasure keeping up the entire time. TIME TO WATCH! xD
  • 5:50 used to give me chills back in the day. 12 years later and it still does it. Really enjoyed the new effects.
  • @EZBreezy420
The part with X screaming Zero's name trying to get him to snap out of it before he has to put him down. Purely heart breaking
