I feel this is a learning season.I am so glad to come along every day, I can always use your timely advice and education.I cut my leggy petunias back yesterday.I’m trusting they will rebound in a couple of weeks. I just had 4 California Wrens to flock their nest yesterday. They had made their nest in my old hanging basket that had a dead Boston fern in it. It was hanging in my enclosed patio. Smart as they are the parents found a hole in the screen and that’s how they came in and out when it was time to feed. I enjoyed watching the babies feed, grow and fly out. I assisted with one but they all finally reunited and happy.

Did the "tough love chop" on my annual pots yesterday! But I did forget to give them a little shot of liquid fert, thanks for the reminder!
  • The weather! I had over 100 petunias I started from seed. I planted as soon as the temps were right. They drowned. I replaced some of them. Lesson learned. Clay soil obviously holds tons of moisture until it heats up then it turns to concrete. Homework is to amend amend amend for proper drainage. This steward is not losing this battle! Love you and your gardens. Have a blessed day!!

  • Hi. Jenny: Your saffron finches are beautiful and love the way you attached the copper pot to your backyard tree. Weather is much cooler today as it was yesterday in Indiana so it is another gardening day before we get plenty of rain. Watching your videos is always a learning experience. Have a wonderful day!
  • You did a GREAT JOB explaining the difference between solid and water soluble fertilizers. The medicine analogy was helpful! And Brenna did a great job helping you pull out those white knights. Love from your recent visitors from Arizona. 🍋🍋
  • I just cut back my petunias and I'm getting ready to fertilize. I love that you can give them a haircut and they bounce back and you get another beautiful flush of blooms. Your Brenna is gorgeous. I absolutely love how she watches over you. Hope you got some of the rain over the weekend. 🤗💓💕💞

You have though us some tips on how to be safe in the garden, would you in the future do a video dedicated to gardening in a safe way? My friend from church had a serious accident in June gardening in her hilly yard, she'll recover praise the Lord but it will be a long recovery. There is so much to learn in this subject from wearing gloves, sun protective wear, use of proper shoes, safety using tools, etc. Thanks again for your guidance.🪴🌺🌞

Everything is gorgeous. I love cutting back annuals. They come back better. I saw your gorgeous hens and chicks planter. Looks amazing, especially now that they are in their full colors. I was hoping you would go over and show how they have grown since you created the planter. Semps are my favorites. Please show them in an up coming video. 😊
