Some guy starts getting spooked and startled by a slender figure in a slick suit, seriously strategizing the thing like it was a serious court case and not a serial killer.

Time Stamps:
0:00 Intro
0:46 Game Mode Basics
2:33 Heavy
3:55 Pyro
4:50 Soldier
6:05 Engineer
7:50 Medic
9:45 Demo
10:40 Sniper
12:20 Scout
14:40 Spy
16:00 Outro

Server IPs:
BlackWonder Slender Fortress; Usually Empty so good if you have friends
172.96.160.170:27255
Disc.FF Slender Server; Usually filled with cringe Disc.ff donators but aside from that a solid place
74.91.113.50:27019
Glubabble's Slender Server; Different verison of Slender Fortress with a odd amount of people on it usually
188.165.207.20:27015

Kinda hard to say for certain what stats are due to how many versions of the game mode exist and how hard it is to see the differences. Stuff like Heavy and Soldier's static resistance does exist however the exact number has without a doubt changed since the game mode was last updated and sadly most guides or talks about the game go over Glubabbles version which is completely different than Disc.FF's or the standard version of Slender Fortress, as a result, some stats are partially off and are mores guessed.

In addition, some mechanics of the game mode aren't fully understood, primarily detection and sound, depending on the class you make a sound and if the boss is in the radius of that sound, they investigate it, if you get in their field of view (for too long or at all depends on the boss) they chase you. But how loud are the sounds? What is the radius? Does the priority of a class play a part in detection too? For example, if a Medic and a Spy make the same sound, and the boss detects both, do they go to the Medic over the Spy?
Stuff like that makes this tier list hard to formulate.

Congrats if you've read this far, by the way, Happy Halloween and all that, thinking about opening a Discord server up soon and perhaps a TF2 server too but we'll see by the end of October if I do either or. Forgot what the next video will be, perhaps another Trading Treasure to span the time out.

I'm not normally the kinda guy to say "like, share and sub" But I'm quite surprised on how poor this video is doing compared to others on the channel, like horrendously going down, 45% worse. Trend I noticed with the past few videos which haven't even surpassed 20k views but I'm really hoping this particular video gets enough views since I A. Put a decent amount of effort and time in it and B. It's based around a community gamemode that I feel needs to get more attention. I'll do more tier list videos like this in the future, primarily with Zombie Escape and a brand new community game mode when it's actually open for the public.
  • This is the one alternate community gamemode I've never played before. Definitely gonna try it out now, thanks CosmosGentlemanNetworked.
  • @lepatrick4596
i really appreciate you adding a "recommended loadouts" list... a lot better than having to ask after the round started and getting told to not use the bushwacka.....while i already have it equipped
  • Creator of Slender Fortress Modified (The version Disc-FF uses) here, we always ranked classes after each beta version of 1.7.0 every time I either nerf or buff specific classes, and there are quite a number of hidden stats that I never mentioned in even the help menu since it is a beta build and I barely updated the localization part. Its weird since another community I work with which is where I am most of the time, which is District Zen, they ranked all 9 classes differently. It does make me happy people are still passionate about this gamemode.
  • This would be the second community gamemode that I've learned about through spaceguy. cool and good video
  • @leroysteveson38
Yes!, I used to sweat all the time on slender fortress in 2016, getting back into it with this video, appreciate it
  • @NNinja1255
I looked into the code of the gamemode, the Powerjack DOES increase speed for Pyro.
  • Slender Fortress? This takes me back to 2013-2015! I used to frequent Glubbable's sever and it's one of the best example of TF2's modding ever
  • @nolyn46
Enjoyable and informative I always tend to like your tierlist videos for these community game modes as I know now that picking pyro seems to just be terrible everywhere, thanks for the helpful tierlists and bits of advice for these new game modes
  • @SwaggyG_2102
Feels good to see such a niche custom gamemode get attention by being covered.

Before the GRU nerf, heavy GRU used to “dominate” slender. I mean heavy can stay sanity the longest and have high hp. Yes I use to tryhard slender, because I’m poor and scared to play other scary game. p/s: demo sprint longer when he get scared. He can even out run scout because of the longer meter. But scout sprint is universal, so I won’t say he outclass scout
  • @sakura368
heavy is for being a wall for non-instant kills sniper is for staring into the enemy's eyes demo and scout are for running away spy is for "stealth is optional"

Finally, i thought YouTubers literally forgot about slender fortress, good one Mr!
  • YouTube during the day: nothing YouTube while trying to sleep: ever heard of entertainment
  • @dr.pastor
Demoman should have the highest priority level. You know why.
  • @firedolphin7621
Well constructed and formatted as always. You put a nice creative flair on these videos such as the SFM shots for each class. I really enjoy your tier list videos and I hope you make more in the future! Shame this one isn't performing as well.
  • @creeperjo7
The scariest thing about this gamemode is how long it takes to download all a servers content
  • @firelord55
Just saw your video on my server. Nice video and yes there are a lot of cringe donators. One thing I was talking about with my admins recently was improving some of the lesser used classes so things might change in future updates.
  • @TemplarBlonic
Isn’t there a fourth type of boss called the Hit and Run? They’re the hardest of them all and get progressively faster in a chase along with obliterating entire groups in an instant, forcing people to go alone.
  • @atwocious
Love the work that you put into your videos, keep them up!
