In this video, I'll review the upcoming korean free-to-play pay-to-win MMORPG Throne and Liberty, going over what I enjoyed and what needs improving, to help you decide whether or not to give this game a chance when it releases. My overall impressions were favorable, but the pay-to-win mechanics and some of the gear progressions systems could sour the endgame for me. What are your thoughts on the game?

Interesting comparison to WoW boosting. In NA, I feel like it is more likely people buy boosts with in-game gold to get cosmetics, not gear -- mounts, transmog, pets, titles, etc. These things can look cool and are obviously desirable, but it doesn't give you any gameplay advantage. Additionally, if you are not time-starved, you can make a lot of gold in-game and never need a token. You can also get high ilvl gear just from KSM, which is not very difficult. It is hard to deny WoW has pay-to-win elements, but to present it as a main model rather than as a fringe most players do not interact with, feels inaccurate, especially when a ban wave earlier this summer supposedly targeted big boosting communities.
