True musical heart displayed right here. how soothing. "we know we suck but we are going to keep on trying because we love music so much " how can you not respect that.
  • I came to be a judgmental asshole but ended up really liking this guy, what a level headed dude, good for him and good luck to Hush.
  • That woman needs to shush if she sees someone being interviewed, and not interrupt.
  • @zee339
well at least they know they suck.  respect.

Well shit. I watched this intending to laugh at these guys. Then i watched the interview. Now im ashamed of myself. Ive been playing bass for over 20 years in bands of varying levels of talent. In my quest to "get good" i lost sight of what these guys havent. I forgot that the whole point is to have fun. These guys are playing music for the love of music, not because they are trying to be cool or impress other people. I need to get back to that. Ive turned into the type of person i hated when i first started playing. Thus might be the besr music lesson ive ever learned.

I feel so bad for him actually. He seems so nice and enthusiastic about it all.
  • @Scottdrums
This guy knows exactly what their problem is, on one end i feel bad for laughing, on the other end i do not because they made me smile. they know they are not good, but their love for music and the quest to keep trying no matter what people think makes them great in a way. Takes lots of guts to go up on stage and keep going when you know you may be being laughed at.. rock on hush

I almost feel like a scumbag for laughing at the Floyd cover.....almost! The dude seems like the kinda guy that everyone just likes cause he's so easy going. Hell I wish'm the best. I'd even be willing to give their drummer some free lessons if they ever find themselves up here in NY.

The woman off camera really needed to tone it down a little. The interview was very difficult to hear in kind of her.
  • @Badfinger1974
These guys need to stay together! They're awful, but people love them!!! It would be hard to stay awful, though, but they should try to do it and keep this thing going!!!
  • @Eric2112rush
You know what, honest to God, I came here to tell them to hang it up because they are just THAT BAD.  But after watching this guy and his sincere love for music, I had to think back to what it was like for me 35 years ago.  Come on folks, we ALL sucked when we picked it up for the first time.  Dudes in HUSH, please don't give up!  Keep plugging away at it and hold on to that innocent love for the music.  Just have fun.  Rock and/or roll on dudes.

Jack Bruce, bass player and lead singer of Cream, always said just play lots of gigs and then you don't need to practice.  The gigs are the practice.  Keep going guys, no one starts off great.
  • @HotRod12667
As bad as they were, they should have stayed that way as a gimmick.

Members of the band "Hush": You have a great opportunity here. If you keep jamming, you'll keep getting better and can be an example to many people that feel like giving up too soon. Your awesome attitude (I watched the interview) is perfect for all of this to happen.  You're causing tons of smiles now and have the potential to cause different kinds of smiles a few short years from now. Don't ever give up! In the meantime, you should cash in on this and play out as much as possible. One Idea is to make sure you break out a song you've hardly ever played just for laughs, etc and keep your best stuff for last (with maybe your worst as an encore). When you eventually get good (which you will), you should consider trying out songs together without any practice so that you can mess them up a little (to keep with the schtick) .Maybe be two bands - One that keeps the name "Hush" and only plays songs that aren't fully learned and another band (same guys, different name) that plays songs you know how to play well. Dude... I hope you consider this. You could have a blast.
  • @evanleo9746
Also, this guy just doesn't care. He has fun and you have to respect this band for that
  • I want this band to play at my divorce party... which would happen if I ever told my wife I would hire them.
  • @nfal445
They are the Troll 2 of rock bands.
  • @motodrummer
They Seem like decent people just obviously beginner musicians. I think they should all take a few lessons and work on the 3 songs they have butchered, come back in a  year or so and knock it out of the park. Now that would be awesome!!
  • @Ratelzwatel
Frank Zappa would have loved this. They're the best avant-garde musicians since Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band. Maybe they could support The Shaggs, if they're still in business. ;)
