Depth Buffer tutorial:    • ReShade Depth Buffer Tutorial

This tutorial was recorded on September 18th, 2021 but it still applies to RTGI version 0.36+. These techniques can also be applied to the iMMERSE Pro branch of RTGI. ReShade version 4.9.1 was the current version at the time of upload. I may or may not redo this entire video with possibly a script or at least some notes. This was all recorded and edited in one take. That being said, there are a couple of verbal issues in this video which I have notated in the pinned comment below. Maybe I shouldn't be making videos at 02:00 AM when I'm really tired 😅

The techniques in this tutorial can still be applied from RTGI 0.25 all the way up to the iMMERSE Pro branch. A couple of things to note: - I meant to say 'Fade out mode set to 0' at 1:18 - The AO Amount is also affected by ray length 4:12 - You could use more ray amount for less noise at the cost of performance 5:08 If there's anything else that I missed or you if have any other tips, please let us know in the comments. I don't know how I can thank you, this is the only guide that people need to watch if they really want to learn using RTGI ❤👌
  • @stasxsk5207
This is so far best explanation of functions and techniques of rtgi ! Really helped me understanding a plugin! I hope you will make a updated video in future for latest versions etc.
  • @droppa57kgx24
Thanks for this. Keep this video up it’s a saver. Had RTGI for a year now and never knew how to use it.
  • Wow, this was very helpful! Thanks for this! I've been having trouble with rtgi bleeding through smoke effects and this helped a lot. I just wanna add though that you can also turn off the game's directional occlusion since it doesn't look very good anyway and the rtgi's ao is superior. It also increases performance.

This looks pretty cool to me! 👏 It is kind of funny how there is just someone talking in the background from time to time. 😆
  • @icecloj3390
This is a brilliant explanation. Thanks so much subbed 👍
  • @Helix142
btw i dont know if youll see this comment but a helpful tip for you and anyone else i recommend turning off any ingame AA as it produces that little moving affect in the depth buffer you can see it in the video as well.
  • awsome vid and helped a tonc buy do you think you can do an updated vid with the new immerse pro?
  • @Joydivided72
i literally bought rtgi and thought it doesnt improve game and is just a scam, until i came here!
  • @H8fulTeddyBear
Any video you would recommend that explains the Depth Buffers as well? I'm trying to get GTA 3 DE To look like the preset images on Digital Dreams Patron page but i keep getting getting issues with the screen showing up a little bit opaque and showing up twice? Also fantastic Tutorial man this made me sub and grab the latest RTGI from Pascal Gilcher and the latest preset for GTA 3 DE from Digital Dreams, Highly appreciate the time you used to create this tutorial !!
  • Hello again, what should I do if RTGI is on and the GPU graphics card temperature rises?
  • @nerikiman1743
for some reason i cant see lighting in the lighting channel mode
  • @juniofonsec
Does anyone know how to help me? The RTGI is out of place, as if it were more to the left, like a layer. And in the deph display the settings are right
  • @lonew0lfclaw859
This might be a dumb question but i m gonna ask anyway: is a rtx graphics card required to use the RTGI shaders? Or can i use it with my regular ass gtx card?
  • @KirpichKrasniy1
can you make english subtitles please so that people from other countries can automatically translate into their own language for convenience
