This is the USA we need again. The pride. The unity. THIS is America. Not whatever the fuck we are now.
-
I am actually surprised they did not pause the game and carry the President's announcement live in the stadium.
-
"Awfully nice night for a ball game." Seal team 6: "I couldnt agree more"
-
100% should have stopped the game to hear the president announce the death

I was at this game as a 14-year-old with my 11-year-old brother and our dad. I remember the word starting to spread in the crowd and people checking their phones. I remember the “USA!” chant breaking out. I’m getting chills now even writing this. Probably the most memorable game I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to well over 100 MLB games over the course of my life.

This was probably the last time we were united as Americans and not divided by race religion or politics
-
What the fuck happened to the States? Why can't we have that America again?

As a Mets Fan I was watching this game live with my College Roommate on ESPN in our Dorm Room! Out of nowhere my Roommate pointed out on the Highlights that Osama Bin Laden had been killed. All of a sudden, my mind quickly came off the game. So we muted the game on our Big TV and listened to the President's Speech on our other TV we had in our Room! We were ecstatic when the news was confirmed!

6:33 "What national team is playing who did they beat?" The greatest national team in the world. The United States Navy SEALS vs Al Qaeda. SEALS win.
-
They definitely should have paused the game and streamed the announcement live, nobody would have minded at all
-
When I say I cried so hard after they killed him this man killed a lot of people including my aunt who worked on the 100 floor and my uncle who was the first responder as a firefighter unfortunately he passed away and they never recovered him
-
last time the country was in unity
-
Phillies fan here- the only thing that would make this even more perfect, is if the game was in New York!! Give that city the stage!! ❤️ NYC

I feel that these days a lot of idiots would be upset by Osama's death.
-
This was two days before my son was born and I remember thinking that he was coming into a better world.

We may be divided. But when things get serious we come together. DO NOT mess with the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I will always stand next to you no matter what race creed politics religion I don't care. United we stand.
-
Was there, and remember it well. The only time I ever hugged a Mets fan at CBP.
-
Could you have imagined if they'd been playing that game in New York instead of in Philadelphia? The emotion would've been even crazier.

I was in the army infantry and just got back from Iraq. I was on 24 hour staff duty when we heard about it
