Hey, Steller here! It made my day reading through all your kind words. I am so happy to be working with Pixel Playhouse and you will be seeing me again! This full song will be available on me (Grant Steller) and Caleb Hyles spotify soon, it would mean the world if I could earn your support. I just wanted to clear up that arranging the song in the four distinct (and perhaps jarringly) different villians styles was intentional! I was aiming to explore how 4 of disneys best villains would behave in Magnifico's situation, and that meant changing everything! No shortcuts. Which villains rendition did you like the most?
-
“Complaining about your living but you’re living with out rent” is SOOOO MUCH BETTER than the original. Holy cow
-
At this point, I say we all team up to remake Wish.
-
the song writer was actually a pop song writer and they didn't even tell her what the movie was about
-
The fact that "This is the Thanks I Get?" sounds closer to "You're Welcome" than an actual Disney villain song says a lot about where they went wrong
-
Honestly having nods to villain songs would have made such a good tribute to Disney like wish was supposed to be
-
Something that irritates me greatly; Magnifico could've been our entrance into grey Disney villains, not pure evil like the classic ones. I didn't want a villain who's evil for no reason; I wanted a villain who believed they were right and made a real point.
-
Huge thanks for having me!! Any chance I get to be THIS theatrical, I'm taking lol You absolutely nailed every creative decision 👏
-
Magnifico honestly comes off more as a father tired of being disrespected and taken for granted rather than an actual villain.
-
He's not even a villain. He's just a mere man that did so much and his entitled people took him for granted. So much to the point that he finally snapped.
-
You know, if I had a nickel for every time someone wrote a proper villain song for Wish where King Magnifico's lines are sung by Caleb Hyles, I'd have two nickels . . .I know that's not a lot, but it's weird that there's two of them.
-
My headcannon was that Magnifico was supposed to capitalize on people's dreams, but midway through production they realized they were just critizinsing themselves and tossed that concept appart for what we got.
-
I legit squealed at the part when he goes ‘all i asked for is some respect’. It define gave me proper Charismatic Villain vibes!!!
-
How did you turn that commercial jingle into something GREAT and TERRIFYING like this?! I love this new version!! And Caleb’s vocals made it even better!!!
-
The remake of this villain song is more entertainning than the actual movie💀.
-
From Facilier and Ursula's manipulation to Scar's mask-off evil king mode and Frollo's "I'm better than all of you" attitude.
-
The line “surround yourself with yeses and you’ll never hear a no” GOES SO HARDDDDDD
-
He had ALOT of fun singing that
-
I could see this being like a sequence of reprises throughout the movie paying homage to the Disney villain songs….Linda like how the entire movie was paying homage to Disney movies
-
"I forgave, not forgot" 😮😮😮 Caleb's voice was perfect for this line, so dark and devious, I love that it gives a background to the King's thoughts about what happened to his home. I do wish that was more explored in the movie!!
