Templars were almost always executed after being taken prisoner because they were an army and each of them was a Rollo, highly trained and deadly and feared, any win against them was luck or just insane shear number advantage. Long live the memory of the templars, the finest soldiers europe ever produced int he old times

So I got my genealogy done and this “Norman Family” is NOT hyperbole. I’m distant cousins with all these Norman heroes with a nice sprinkling of direct ancestors mixed in. Excellent documentary, as always on this channel. Brilliant artwork, computer graphics and presentation go together to make a compelling story of the power of the Templars in the Holy Lands.
