maybe the most important part of the chinese stealth amour's effect is that neither shooting nor moving will break it's stealth effect; as long as you are crouching you are invisible. This makes it crazy good for solo'ing.
  • @crazy-tommy
For me its Secret Service armor - best overall stats, has jetpack, easy to roll with only 1 legendary module per craft, appeareance doesn't matter when using outfits and Unyielding gives you all the stealth you ever need
  • @smokinglamp6696
Also the biggest drawback of the Chinese stealth armor is you cannot wear outfits on top of it. It’s what stops me from using it.
  • I view the Chinese Stealth Suit as the best hazmat suit in the game, rather than armour. It's good as a default.

Can confirm the absolute psychological pain you go through crafting Vault armors. I spent - brace yourself - over 10,000 scrip rolling an unyielding thorn set. that's not a typo or an exaggeration. 10,000 scrip, AND I'm still rolling because I want an extra chest to swap out - pneumatic for everyday use(main melee), maybe a dense, and an Asbestos Lining for colossus. I stopped keeping track after 10,000 a month or two ago. I'm probably close to 20k scrip into it at this point. I could have rolled so many worthless miniguns to gamble for a Vbash with all the scrip i dumped into thorn.

I’m stuck using the stealth suit because I’m spoiled by it. With speed demon mutation, I’m basically crouch walking all the time and the mobs will never detect me. So yeah I’ve become a night kin lol.

I've been using SS armor ever since I completed wastelanders and usually have a CSS on me for stealth/rad rumble needs. I am working on a covert scout set for an alternitive if needed or want to switch it up, but torn/solar isn't in my sights at all.
  • @isra8397
Great guide! I have a full set of both covert scout and secret service and switch depending of if I wanna be sneaky or not. Always keep a jetpack ss torso in my inventory if I need it.
  • Secret Service armor only costs one gambling token to craft. The armor with the least gambling is always going to be my favorite. It makes crafting complete sets a lighter kick to the balls.

you should have shown the stats for the covert scout armour with full polymer mods as if you have high agility and full stealth perks you really don't need to go double shadow with it the bonus it grants is more than enough, and with full polymer mods this armor offers crazy high resistances for light armour. So you get the best of both worlds.
  • @Xion_Stellar
Overeater Solar Armor Set for me and like you said it can be a pain to obtain the full set because of the Vault Steel and Legendary Crafting restrictions.
  • @GoneDying
Didn't know covert had better stealth than thorn. I always assumed covert didn't work in the open world since it specifically stated in dark areas.
  • If the freeze resistance was better I think the Arctic Marine armor could be considered a valid endgame option, unfortunately (IMO) the effect is useless because it is so low. Just to mention that I matched a full set of PA with freeze resistance (125) for daily ops and I barely noticed a difference for other PA's with no freeze resistance, so, IMO I think that the Arctic Marine armor should have at least 150 freeze resistance to be considered viable and even then I think that it wouldn't prevent the target to be frozen. Stay safe and keep up the good work.

I want to like the Stealth Armor, but the invisibility makes it a headache to aim properly in first person. I have to use 3rd to see where I'm hitting.
  • @starfoxBR77
I hear from some people that get a full unyielding set of SS would be cheaper then the BOS one because takes less legendary modules. That can be true if you disregard 2nd and 3rs star but in my case I'm chasing WWR so not sure if I should keep rolling BOSs or not.
  • I do use secret service armor with faster ap regeneration and radiation shielding. I'm mostly playing as a commando speed runner tank without stealth, but VATS crit focused. I would like to use power armor, but i have my food and drinks carry perks on a backpack. As soon as i enter power armor, my weight quadruples and i don't want to make my special loadout full of carry perks...
  • It would be nice if Bethesda put jet pack mod on all torso armors that way where ever ever you go on the map you can switch your amor set depending on the enemy
  • @GavbinTitle
I went with a full set of Vanguards AP Refresh BOS Recon Armor. And I use a Junkies Exp 25 Handmade. It's a really good stealth/tank build.
  • The bos recon armor looks the best for me, it looks like a cross between Mandalorian armor and a Knight suit
  • I agree with you Turtle, the secret service armor is pretty ugly. It looks like you’re wearing HVAC plastic components. Covert Scout is the only decent looking end game armor. Bonus points for it being murdered out. I have a full set of Unyielding Covert Scout with one piece as harder to detect and full shadowed mods. I am become stealth.
