Love these! My favorite saying I say to myself and my kids… “don’t put it down, put it away!” Meaning if you have something in your hand (a piece of trash, a book, a toy, keys, a dirty dish, shoes, etc.) you are about to set down and walk away from, “don’t put it down, put it away!” It has helped wonders. I say it in a cheerful, happy voice so it is a positive, not a negative comment. And now whenever I start the saying when I see my kids about to set something down, they finish the sentence and go put it away!

🤗 🫖One of my things is having my favorite hot tea every morning. I retired unexpectedly early at age 62 due to some health things. I don’t usually have to be anywhere so I've gotten out of the habit of keeping a schedule. I'm slowly working on that...a wakeup time and bedtime. Also, getting dressed to shoes every day. Part of me says I'm an adult so I can stay up until 2am and wear my comfy jammies all day but another part of me says keeping a wakeup/bedtime/get dressed mindset is healthier for my body. IT'S A PROCESS!!

I love the idea of "amplifying simple pleasures". I got the same fluffy kindle stand and clicker. Something about using that stand, putting on rainy coffee shop ambiance on YT, lighting a candle, and making tea- just sets the VIBE 🤗
