ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Remi. A Japanese-American millennial navigating adulthood in Los Angeles. I was born in Fukuoka, Japan but was adopted and raised in Los Angeles, CA.

I love playing tourist in my own city and discovering new places to visit (& eat)!

My mission is to encourage people to be tourists in their own cities by sharing my experiences with the world.

You’ll discover places to visit in Los Angeles/Southern California and get an understanding of what it’s like to live in LA.

I’ll also take you with me as I continue to learn more about Japan and my Japanese heritage.

Thanks so

I have a similar problem. I was born in the US and grew up here but when the Navy sent me to Sasebo I felt like I was home. I had found a place that just made me feel happy and alive. Sadly the Navy would not let me stay in Sasebo and now I am back in the US and in my 50s but would love nothing more than to move to Kyushu and be happy once again....love your video! Thank you! Going back in November and can't wait.

Dear Remi, I recently stumbled upon your travel vlog about Fukuoka, Japan, and was immediately drawn to it. As someone who is planning a trip to Fukuoka, I found your video incredibly helpful and informative. What struck me the most was the emotional connection you had with the city, given that you were born there and raised in Los Angeles. I could tell how much wonder and curiosity you felt while exploring your birthplace, and I can only imagine how different your life might have been if you had grown up there. As someone who has also been away from my home country (Sweden) for many years, I can relate to the strong emotional feelings you experienced while visiting Fukuoka. There's something about returning to a place that holds so many memories and connections that can be overwhelming, but also incredibly fulfilling. Thank you for sharing your experiences and insights about Fukuoka. Your vlog has given me even more reasons to look forward to my trip, and I can't wait to explore all the wonderful things that this city has to offer. Best regards, Robert
