Isn’t it kinda too late to be talking about convincing Israel to “wind down” its attacks on Gaza ?

I wouldn't trust MBS with nuclear assistance anymore than Iran.

The harder the US tries to disengage from the Middle East, the more entangled it seems to become.
  • you should never take John Foster Dulles' colde war era claims at face value

5:53 That is completely false. Israel had bad to hostile relations with US in the 50's... History Matters made a short video about the collapse of METO. I recommend it to everyone.

I think it's super weird that you didn't speak at all about the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement which had been progressing well and while hasn't progressed much since Gaza war started, hasn't gone backwards either.

The core of the Abraham Accords was showing that the Palestinians were not the linch pin for Middle Eastern peace but, in fact, the main obstacle. To require acceptance of a two-state solution removes that and removes the whole impetus for normalization of relations with Israel.
  • America: we stand for democracy and freedom! Also america: saudi arabia is our second greatest middle eastern ally

So no matter who wins... it's pretty much 100% guaranteed to be someone incredibly evil.
