Making a DIY Aquarium Filter Box from a planter is extremely easy way of providing filtration to the aquarium. Flower Pot can be bought from various outdoor stores and nursery. Added filtration can be provided if the aquarium filter box actually has some plants grown in it. This is the theme of todays video, where I have converted a planter to an aquarium filter box and have also grown some plants for added filtration. You could also add some flowers to the planter provided that they are aquaponic friendly.

I'm looking to build my own set up like this. I'm confused tho as to why everyone's filtering at the start. Should the filter not be at the other end so the plants can have the chance to pick up the nutrients before its being filtered? I figured have each section overflow to the next with the last one going under and filter floss to polish at the end. Is there any reason people don't go this way? Or just preference?
