My answer is "generally yes, but it depends". I've been there twice. The 1st time, I was told to keep my shoulder bag/ purse close to my body to prevent it from being snatched. This was in Phnom Penh. Other than that, I felt safe re: thieves or SA/SH. However, take note that I'm SE Asian and I blended in. Another lady (white, solo traveler) was harassed by her tuktuk driver on the way back from the Genocide Museum. My tip would be if going to places far from the city center, go with a group & avoid getting into sticky situations. There are a**holes everywhere.

Nice video!

Been to Siem Reap a few years ago and loved it. Cambodia is like Indonesia decades ago, not too crowded, modest...maybe I'll visit Cambodia again...I've never been to Pnom Penh.

Wow, you are really beautiful! Thanks you for visiting our country and giving such good words on it. Sorry that you didn't like a couple if the snacks though, just need to find the better vendors. Have a happy, safe, and fun adventures! βΊοΈ

I don't know why Western media spreads so much hate and falsehood about Cambodia. Every place has good and bad people, and Cambodia is one of the best destinations, with its beauty, friendly people, and rich cultural history. The false information keeps tourists away from Cambodia. I feel sorry for my beautiful country because of this unfair treatment.

The snack (2:30) isnβt supposed to be hard π I think you did not get to try a well made one. Itβs usually fluffy and chewy and the sugar usually is crunchy but melt in your mouth. Probably only can find those authentic one on the street that old auntie sells now. Thanks for visiting Cambodia
