  • Guns me marcou muito. Perdi minha cunhada muito nova. Na época meu sobrinho tinha 8 anos. Ele trancava dentro do carro e colocava Guns bem alto . A gente escutava ele soluçando de tanto chorar. Foi uma fase muito difícil que vivemos. Hoje ele tem 29 anos.

is about accepting and embracing the inevitability of death, and the idea of never truly being given a fair chance beyond the life that you live. The singer seems to be reflecting on his life, feeling like he has been wronged, and considers death an alternate way out from the oppressive life that he lives. He asks his mother to take away his gun—the one thing that gives him a semblance of power—and feels himself being ”knockin on heaven's door,” metaphorically indicating he is coming close to death. The spoken solo in the middle provides insight into the state of life the singer has been living, and the fact that it is not luck that will get him out of it alive. The song is a reflection of our mortality, and a reminder to make the best of our limited time on earth.

I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.

This is just so beautiful. Just 2 beautiful male voices and guitar, no special effects or staging. Nice harmonising. Just a pure, simple sincere love song, but it really touches deep within the soul of so many who love this song, me included.
  • 🔥🔥🔥Now THIS is what I call a CLASSIC Right Here 🔥🔥🔥

Wish I could bring back the late 80s early 90s and just live there for a little while again. Life was good then. And I didn't realize how it would change.

  • My favorite song by guns & roses. I remember listening to this growing up brings back so many happy memories
  • I saw this performance live from Gans n Roses, Toronto, September 3, 2023. Never to forget!
  • We lost our friend and bandmate today. She loved singing this song. Such a talented, determined, courageous, kind and beautiful person. She always made people smile, always knew what to say, even during hard times. If she were here, she would tell me not to be sad, but to keep going. I remember how she always gave the tightest and warmest hugs and I now realise that you never know when it is the last time to hug someone. She is literally knocking on heaven's door. Rest in peace big sis, I hope you're having fun up there, singing with Bob Marley and Kurt Cobain. Fly high and safe 🕊
  • This song is a legend ..in 1976 when my dad passed away my brother played this song on his acoustic guitar to my mom ...rock on Bob Dylan ...love this version
