How the hell did they actually get any filming done? :D

The most underrated comedy series ever. And it is a typical working class family we can all, well most of us, relate to. Loved it.

One of the funniest shows ever written. Seen every episode and special at least 10 times. RIP Caroline Aherne, Geoffrey Hughes and Liz Smith. Gone but never forgotten ❤️

The Christmas Special when Nana dies is one of the best things ever to have been on TV. It had everything a good drama should have: comedy, pathos, gut wrenching sadness and irony. Sinead O'Connor's haunting rendition of 'Scarlet Ribbons' sealed the deal. RIP Denise, Nana and Twiggy.
  • Loved it when Craig said to Joanne "do you get this on downton abbey"

It is sad when watching this,Caroline no longer here,to think how much fun they had on set,a perfect tv gem, never to be seen again.

this has to be one of the very best comedies ever - Unbelievably witty and subtle humour, as well as the completely obviously funny stuff. It was also capable of making very sad and very powerful moments. 10/10 for me

Caroline's writing talent is superb, she was a clever lady, so sadly missed.

This show is up there with Fools and Horses and Faulty Towers for me. Absolute genius. Sad to know they'll never be able to do any more. Caroline Aherne was a true comedian.
  • This show is so nostalgic for me, and my Dad watched it when I was a little girl. I'm 19 now and its such comfort show to me, feels like home when I'm watching it.
  • This was one of thoes once in a generation shows. Captured the working class brits so well. Such amazing characters wraped in the smallest setting. It felt like you were spending time with family not watching a show. The Royle Family will always have a special place in my heart

The out takes are even funnier than the final scenes. I thought gormless Dave just had to be exactly the same in real life, but here he is laughing his pants down trying to deliver his lines. Brilliant stuff.

Heartbreaking that this phenominal observational comedy will never happen again. The writing, timing, acting. It all looked so simple and easy but the writing, the lines, the characterisation was second to non. R.I.P. Caroline.

Dear Lord I was bellying laughing through almost all of it. "There's been a MUR-DER" 🤣 that scene was classic. Dave kept laughing. What it must have been like working together. Laughing during the takes. Fantastic

I’m dehydrated from all the tears of laughter during this video. A beautiful show which is sadly missed.

It's so nice to see them laughing and joking. The show was the same, full of fun. Imagine pitching a show where the whole show is based in one house. It was an amazing cast and script that made it what it was.
