I like how at 3:17 the instrumental starts to intensify and starts getting louder and then calms down as he says he shot her. It gives me the feeling of anger building up and his mind getting fogged up with thoughts until he shoots her, which then it starts to cool down, like a feeling of realization. Idk how to explain it better but all I can say is that it’s perfect.

My little brother showed me Colter Wall. He’s a pretty quiet dude but I hear him sing these songs under his breathe all the time. I’ve been trying to learn how to play devil wears a suit and tie on guitar to surprise him so he can sing along.

For a long time I’ve found good country. As a person whos been through that kinda stituation, this hits really hard.. Goosebumbs through my body while listening to this.. And his voice is just amazing.. Props for him of this.

I don't have a favorite. It's Colter. He's my favorite. He's the Chuck Norris of country music. Seen a comment years ago saying, "The doctors said to Colters' mom after delivering him, CONGRATULATIONS, it's a man", and it was spot on.
