  • I watched the entire episodes of journey to the west when i was a kid and the story was great Thats how i learned the epic journey of sun wukong
  • So what if he was "influenced "or "inspired " or even stole the idea...he created (DB) (DBZ) and look what has come out of that I don't even think he got the idea from this...although it's very similar I think it's two different stories and dragonball in my opinion is even better than that old legend and if he did get inspired by this story I think the dragonball adaptation is way better
  • Yes we have knowing this for years and its great to see that he can make it into something amazing. Me and my son have been watching dragon ball together for years and we enjoyed it very much. Thanks to him and his amazing art skill to bring this story to life forever to enjoyed. RIP 🙏 your inspiration will last for centuries and beyond.
  • I think jiren on dragon Ball super might be a representation of the bull demon King because Goku had to use a technique that involved agility to defeat him
  • Yes Toriyama has said Dragonball was inspired by journey to the west and Goku is Sun Wukong. Son Goku is Sun Wukong in Japanese. If you watch the show you will see all the concepts of JTTW represented in each dragon ball series. If you look at the early drafts of Goku he looks like the monkey king.
  • The AI narration butchering some words was off-putting, but the story was entertaining.
  • the only thing that threw me about this specific version of the story is that if the Monkey King could defeat n stand head to head with the Gods... why would he take so long just to defeat an earthly ogre... other than that, always loved this tale #respectfully
  • @JohnA.-sp9vb
What happened ? from 5:16 to the end of the video, it sounded like the AI was attempting a Nigerian accent 🤣🤣 it gets worse here 6:06 its hilario
  • @jonarpruel23
Hindi na mahalaga yun ang mahalaga may son.Gokou kahit anung umpisa pa meron yan
  • @VSM101
and Luffy was inspired by Hanuman in the Ramayan and so was Sun Wu Kong
  • Go to the copycat of Sun wukong and Sun wukong is a copycat of patamon the Hindu monkey god
