Recently I thought of coming back to tanki but after I've seen what it has become I felt disgusted. Luckily the fan made project Protanki was made and I'm back playing the game we all loved

Man i grinded TO for hours straight since 2011 every summer i went to visit my relatives in Georgia and every summer i made a new acc because i forgot the password of the previous one. Had sooooo much fun. I remember playing moon silence 24/7 and being overwhelmed not knowing what those lightning turrets were that could heal themselves by shooting the air and sucking me off and still having a blast. Those "tower" type maps where u had to drive up to enemies, future, year 2042(?), industrial zone, this other industrial zone type map with a buiöfing witj a destroyed slanted roof and shit, madness, rio 24/7. In 2015 i finally had an account and enough brain to remember my password and i dtill habe this acc to this day. In 2015 ot was still fun and so many people played, how excited i was bc i got m1 isida for free when they merged the old micro upgrades into singular ones that upped everything, bc i had maxed out ranged before with crystals i grinded endless for. How i grinded halloween event to get this free 7 days premium i never used. But then then every summer it got worse, with overdrives, no individual country servers, no lobbies, shitty ass garbage hover and flying turrets, stuns, augments, lootboxes and holy shit druggers/drugging got out of hand. I just started playing again cuz im in Georgia rn for the first time in like 5 years and im bored+ no Pc so i play the mobile version. But man the game is so fucking mid, new shitty auto aim turrets andnother shit and now they wanna ad grenades. Wtf??? They absolutely destroyed it. Worst, greedy devs ever and thats coming from someone who played Overwatch bruh. But the most depressing part is seeing my FL full of people i used to play (custom games/parkour) with, that are all offline for YEARS. 2 years ago when i checked previously for the last timei could see it all, but now it seems they even remove that and deleted everyone whos been offline for more than a year. Probably gonna give it a shot when im on my pc again, bc mobile sucks giga ass and u cant even do customs, but thats probably not gonna make it the slightest better. And i aint even got someone to play with for fun. RIP TO, almost a full decade ago u were the goat game. Thank u for this amazing vid

It was a great game. Started playing when the "blue sphere" was there in 2011. Premium account was the nail in the coffin and it went downhill from there

This game is my childhood and it hurts seeing what they have turned the game into but i can't seem to leave it as well, every now and then, I just open it with excitement and nostalgia, 5 mins into the battle and i instantly see myself quitting it lol. There was a time when I used to play it for 6-8 hours everyday when the pace of every battle was way slower than it is as of now, yet it had all of us hooked up.

Imagine my reaction after hearing my thoughts on the game for the past 5-6 years in a Yt video and from a fellow tanker. Just wish this kind of content was actually pushed more both before all of this happened (flying hulls, p2w augments, critical hits, etc.) and during the implementation of certain things that, as you very well pointed out, were absolutely unnecessary. I just feel like the devs couldn't figure out a better way to make us understand something obvious to older, more mature people but not so much to younger players: it might be a game for you to enjoy, but it needs investment (aka money) to keep functioning and so we need people to pay for stuff. I feel like in a couple things they pressed the right button and, for example, made something available only for Tankoins (aka real money) that did NOT significantly affect the overall experience and playability mid and towards endgame. But in more than half the things they implemented, they definitely showed both greediness and honestly lack of business making, not just in the sense of positive/negative effect on the game and playerbase's reception, but in leveraging this game's potential. And by that I mean this: Tanki could have been an excellent eSports game played and known by many more people than it is now and much earlier, even switching over to other consoles like PlayStation, but... Does anyone remember the devs saying they had plans for that? Well, let's just say those plans had the same success that Tanki X... Very bad way to waste such potential in a game that, within its genre, was destined to be the greatest for many years to come and, as I mentioned, potentially played competitively like other videogames nowadays, only to be poisoned by greed and mainstream money-drainig ideas (skins, premium pass, p2w items/mechanics...)

I still play Tanki Online in its current state. I ONLY still play because I have a maxed out legend 50 account. I would NOT recommend anyone to play this game from the beginning ranks. It is NOT worth it. I have moved on and play games like Overwatch 2, etc. I recommend TO players do the same. Great video LineNine.

I had a clan and never paid Tanki for it. I didn't pay for most things in Tanki. We had 20 members from all over the world had to have practices but we did have a successful tournament that the players were rewarded by gold boxes supplied by me the clan leader.

I came back after about four years of not playing, and I was so disappointed in the developers, we deserve an apology. Oh yeah, and exclusive augments that cost money. "p2w augments" Remember when your turret looked better after you upgraded it.. When I came back to my account and all my turrets and halls looked like they were maxed, I was so excited and then I looked And they were not, I was so confused and disappointed. I remember having that bloody white skin and thinking it was so cool Also, if I remember correctly, mines didn't dspawn. "I could go on" GGs Boys!!!

I used to play with jumping "hacks" in the past. then, devs managed and removed all hacks from the game and noooowwww they added hopper that can jump?!!!!!

I started playing in 2011, Was really disappointed with the 2012 rebalance, but I picked it up again in the end of 2013, Vulcan and hammer were pretty good additions but magnum was just really not fun to play against. I tried logging in last time only to find out my country (Holland) has blocked the game in the country because laws against online gambling (lootboxes) so tanki just shut it off in those countries. I can still enter from VPN but holy shit everything went to hell. (drones, flying hulls) After that I started playing other games but I will never forget this game, and I'll never forget the fun times I've had. Rip Tanki
