DJI Mavic 3 Quick FPV Mode Test - Is it Useful?

I love this video guys. Your production quality is top! As far as the fpv gimbal mode goes.....the 1 thing that will change your end result significantly is switching to flying in sports mode (+flying faster). All your clips from the drone in this video, you are flying too slow and changing direction too fast. This can create glitchy footage. Flying fast and smooth will result in more of a "soaring" effect. I would love to see you guys produce an episode of someone (experienced fpv quad pilot) flying this drone in sports and fpv mode.

I can already imagine how amazing the shots would be! Real awesome! Though I'd probably need a lot of practice to achieve decent FPV shots with my Mavic 3!

FPV works really well in close proximity flying and when a shot is motivated. So, a chase seen through a woodland for example. In the open, it's not much to look at. I raced FPV drones a few years ago and the most exciting footage was always with obstacles and another drone or two in shot. Whilst the Mavic 3 is not suitable for that kind of flying, I am going to try a motivated shot through a wide and bendy forest track. This video has jogged my memory nicely from days gone by and I can see a real world application ahead. Cheers

Nice effort :) Considering the Mavic 3 has better camera specs than most FPV drones, it's gonna be great if we can also utilize the FPV feature of the Mavic 3

Why aren't you using the goggles and controller? Or did they just make it compatible? Should do an update on this case cause their marketing website shows that the goggles and controller connect to the unit....

If I did have this, I’d just feel like I’d be using a helicopter simulator. If there was a way to get rid of gimbal control and use the fpv goggles to point around and use your head for directing the shots; now that’d be pretty useful.

You need to use it differently. I’ve seen some creators use it in amazing ways. You can’t just fly and turn it’s gotta be dynamic. I’m the same as you though. Not the best at FPV. I’m not going to plug the other channels using the 3 or Air2S in FPV mode. But these guys are good.
